Staff were very happy to let me split my shopping during the Morrison/Lidl £5 off coupons and let me use a handful of other identical money off coupons too in each off the £30 cut off points.
I have 3 large tescos within a 10 min drive and it depends on which way the wind is blowing through each checkout (let alone store!) as to the policy on coupons. :rotfl:
In one of my local stores I was told they left it up to the SA what MOC's they accept, how many, how etc., So I think the rule is, find a nice SA and be extra nice to them.
I have found a great SA in my one store and I get lots through, when previously in the same store some SA's have given me the 10% policy rule. One even tried to do this when I had a £5 off a £30 spend. 'So how does that one work exactly, when 10% off £30 is only £3. She didn't want to accept it that's how!
I have gone up the ranks with regard to buying the item with a MOC when the said I could only use one voucher, even though I was buying the item. SA say "No", Supervisor say "No", Floor Manager say "No", Night Manager say "Yes". :j Sometimes I just think it is plain jealousy.....I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -
Just realised I've missed out on a £60 DTD - GUTTED!!!!!!
Bought a 22" TECHNICKA LCD DVD TV with IPOD Docking Station - see here - this afternoon. In store, it states £179 on SEL but scanned at tills as £210! Before I thought about the DTD, I queried the price with the SA!! I was more worried about going overdrawn at the time. Checkout supervisor knew straight away that it was the wrong price & cancelled the transaction before putting it through manually.
Missed out there, though, didn't I? A £30 overspend would have meant a £60 DTD refund! Arghhhhhhh!!
HTH someone!!

Hiya folks,
Another one to add to your list for misprices.
There is a promotion going on in the ladies wear where you can pick up a set of a yoga top (zipped sweatshirt cardi) and jogging bottoms. There is big prices everywhere which says 2 for £10 or £7 each.
I picked up a black set and a charcoal grey set, but the charcoal set, the cardi and jumper didn't match totally as one had a motif on it, the other didn't but there was no signs to say you couldn't mix and match the tops and bottoms just two for £10.
Double the difference back of £6. Not a lot, but worth a look.
PS There was black, pale grey, charcoal grey - one with a motif and one without, and a brownie pink colour (not sure how to describe this) for the colours.0 -

Had small dtd today at Tesco - 3 short sleeved white body suits 18-24mths, priced on packaging and back label at £1.50 went through at £1.75. I was checking the receipt for something else and spotted it, got 50p back no trouble.
The thing I was actually lookinf at was the offer for 2ltr Cravendale, SEL says 2 for £2.50 till 22/9 but bottles say 2 for £3 on them. It goes through at £2.50 so that was ok.0 -
Hi,
can someone please explain to me what DTD means - is it 'double the dough'? I've tried to find it on this thread but it has passed me by.
Many thanks

Double the difference. Rightly or wrongly many shops assistants do not know about this, and try to refund the overcharge only.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -

"DTD" = "Double The Difference" - there should be a poster/sign at customer services & also on the till points which basically states that should they overcharge you on anything, they will refund you twice the difference between the price on the SEL (shelf edge label) & what you actually paid. But a word of warning, some assistants "forget" about this or claim it doesn't apply in certain circumstances. Hold your ground & ask to speak to a manager, if you feel you have a cause to claim it!
Sometimes, they revert to the old system of refunding you what you paid & letting you have the item for free (can't remember what this was called) This happened to me recently, I found some chocolate truffles with a reduced label, the full price was £2.99, the bargain price was 75p - when I checked the receipt, they had been scanned at the full price. Technically, I should have got £2.99-75p = £2.24 x2 = £4.48 DTD back, but instead, the SA refunded me the £2.99, so really I lost out on an extra £1.49, but I got them for free, so I was happy!
Now you can see why I was gutted to loose out on £60 yesterday! Silly me!!

I see youve been told.............but if u get stuck in future, try looking at the first post in the thread, it usually gives you lots of info on abbreviations etc.....Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
