But I think this was just a case of store not changing sel as I popped to another store on way home and they were priced at £50

Cs have launched an investigation into the manager now as she is flaunting data protection by saying what she did about my card!!

Thanks for all the nice replies, mi half expected everyone to say I was asking too much of tesco and being greedy!

Hello wool - wrote a big reply which disappeared:mad:.

Was saying re: Am I being over sensitive?

    NO!

You must get back to HO Freephone no. tomorrow.

Don't bother with the store - express to HO [go to highest level CSM] what you've told us, the tone, the clearly illegal threat/caution re: your card.

Ask was it by HO's authority or instruction that this was said?[you can guess it will be 'no'] and ask on what grounds you were subject to such a disgraceful episode. Refer again to your petrol money.

This has been extraordinarily poorly dealt with in store and you might ask how this Dep SM can be in a position to train/lead staff.

    Let us know.

    Well done on the dtd:rotfl::T.

I have written to Terry Leahy twice re: bad events, sent it RD, which you can track online.
    Excellent outcomes.
When you're on the phone to HO tomorrow, asK for the formal and full address.

May not have helped that whilst I was hanging around waiting, I scanned a few items on the price checker, found a Gordon Ramsey dinner set marked at £25, scanning at £50, paid for it then got DTD!!! FREE!!

Good job there is another big tesco not far me thinks!

Thank you so much Wool, my first DTD thanks to you :D I saw the Gordan Ramsey dinner service all marked up as £25 and went for it! I got my £50 DTD without any hassle, and of course the 5p off petrol till spit for spending £50 quid plus 100 cc points! Oh and 4 cans of dove for free with 2 coupons!

    Fantastic day!:rotfl:

Well done! Was this in Western Avenue? I'm not too far away from there but I doubt my husband will take me!

It was western avenue. Unfortunatly it was also the last one on the shelf :(

The good news is that I was so desperate to get out of there that I didn't buy any more chili nuts, so there may be some left for you :D

I didn't realise you were local, if I find anything, I'll make sure I post asap!

    Cool!
Whilst I was loitering there were loads of offers, half price on shavers and hair care that end tonight so might pop by and see if any sel's are still on and bag some more bargains, ESP the mens shaver at 54 instead of 108£!
