This is normal Mr T practice but it is starring-rôle blatant atm - saw it yesterday for a laundry softener. The 4tins tuna come-on is another.
Note also that the Market Value oranges are up to £1.25, quantity down to 4:eek:! RTC sections are an autopilot
Terry Leahy was the former CEO, PC is his clone replacement. In serious matters, I always ask for top dog on CS duty that day, ask their name -add nicely 'It's helpful to know who I am speaking with /spoke to ' and ask for the CEO address. Opening sentence in any letter then sets with this paper/info. trail.

Because there seem to be a lot of newbies on board, the basics are at the start of the Thread, but the biggest MUST DO is:

1.ALWAYS jot down prices as you go round.

    2. ALWAYS check your receipt before you leave the store.

Some readers may say 'kids fidgety', 'no time', 'too scared' etc.etc.

    This really doesn't wash.

It's good family practice to involve your children in the shopping anyway, re: maths, re: choices, re: value/catchweight/number recognition, and even - a hobby horse of mine - poor spelling and punctuation, not to mention wombling training et al, emphasising that the Days Out Rewards[or which ever]chosen is something they have helped towards.

And remember, your courtesy and calm are absolute, your best weapons, which includes thanking good staff, CS included, too. I have expressed sympathy with them, with an apology for bringing yet another misprice to their attention.;) 'I'm afraid I've been overcharged again' and 'Unfortunately, this one's still wrong' on repeats;). At other times, it's better to take the line: 'I realise it's not you personally, so shall we speak to HO?' Or, if unhelpful Duty Manager is involved, same applies. If you are forced to use your own phone[I've never known this yet], ask HO if they'd kindly ring you back, as Store would not allow phone call.

Always gracious, always quietly firm, always courteous.

    Bonne chance!

    Let me at her!
'Absolute nightmare to take shopping!' - I always turn these situ.s round, even though I'm aware much of it is my novelty value as a.n.other. An involved and engaged little person is the aim.

Off-thread, so will cease before this topic takes off.

Here is another email address to send Tesco complaints to:

    Ceo.Customerservice@uk.tesco.com

The lady who looks into these complaints on behalf of the Chief Executive is Dawn Clarke.

I can confirm this as she is looking into a matter on my behalf and has contacted me this morning.

I haven't disclosed this incident on the forums as walls have ears and trouts have eyes!

Hope this helps some of you who get treated inappropriately on your shopping excursions.

All the best with that, Wool.

Just been into tesco this morning and managed to get 27 pack of penguins for free! they had gone up today from £1.84 to £3.69 and had them dual located next to tea bags with old half price sel on. worth double checking to see if any other stores have missed this
  • Thought I'd struck gold this morning as the Gillette Proglide offer SEL was still up (£3, save £5.49) but out of date. Took 8 to my price check scanner. They scanned at....£3:(

Hi, managed to get some 25p dad and grandad socks and also got a couple of ties....."Best Grandad" & "Grumpy Git", reduced to £2.00 but scanned at 50p. There were also some leather belts in plastic packaging that were £10.00 but came up as mens hats at £1.25 and 3 pack of socks in a box scanning at £1.00 supposed to be £8.00. I hope this helps someone as they would make cheap but effective gifts.

    :)
