    Hi

Just purchased Duplo Tigger's Expedition from Tesco in Glossop, SEL stated £12.50 but it went through at £18.97 which is what it is online:

£12.94 back, thank you very much. Did this twice, my husband did one and so did I, one can be put into the gift cupboard now.

All three of the WTP Duplo sets were originally marked as RTC. Winnie's Picnic was £2.97, now on shelf at £8.97 again (http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.211-6698.aspx), Winnie's House was £10.50 now on shelf at £31.97 again (http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.211-6610.aspx). Worth keeping an eye out to see if any SELs haven't been changed over yet!

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.

I have an email from Pat Cronin at Tesco headquarters confirming that they offer double the difference, even unto the good denizens of Watford, where I reside. This email was sent TODAY (26 May).

The sign is still up in Watford Extra today, but wonder if they will insist the they don't offer it anymore.

Perhaps this nice lady might then contact the Watford manager to find out what he is playing at. When I next go, (shame I was there yesterday and the day before), I will have a word with the nice CS with red hair, Maxine, and see what she says.

I very rarely get a DTD. I did get one a few weeks ago, when I bought some white short sleeved school shirts for my 22 year old to wear for work. They were priced at £9.50 on the front sticker, but £11 on the back, so I got 3 shirts for £6.50.

I shopped in the Watford Extra store today, and couldn't believe my eyes to see the infamous, home-made sign. What a cheek!! I wasn't overcharged on my shopping, but having seen the sign myself, I cam home and rang HO to question this. He put me on hold while he rang through to the store, then finally came back to me and explained that the shop had mixed-up the information on the Double The Difference Online price checker, and overcharging in store. He confirmed that the Watford store should refund double the difference if you are overcharged instore.

Apparently he spoke to the duty manager in the Watford store, that was about 2pm today. So it should have gone NOW!! If anyone spots it, please let us know, and more importantly, don't be fobbed off by their staff. It seems absurd to me that us customers know more about Tesco policy than the staff themselves do!

i got DTD for the 1st time today, bought 1 hose reel but had 2 on receipt. gave DTD on overcharge, all i wanted was a refund for the one not purchased, so got £7.20 back on a already glitched £3.20 hose (was on offer to £14.00 but label and scan at £3.60)

I don't want to be rude but is it really worth the hassle for 25pence?

I observe your point but we found it by accident! It stated £1 on the SEL so when we got charged more we got DTD back. Wouldn't bother with a 1p like on the cheese years ago with the R&R policy but it's the principle that counts here! Anyway someone may buy 4 cheesecakes then it's £2. :D
