Found my first glitch but I fear it may be store specific.

My local Tesco stocks Wham Crystal 32L Underbed boxes but only in clear. I was at an Extra store today and saw they do them in clear, blue and pink with a 3for2 on the blue & pink ones. Unfortunately for this store the offer ended on 17/05 but the SEL hadn't been removed. If I'd been feeling brave I would have gotten more than I did (and with hindsight what was the risk?) so I got 6 boxes and DTD of £22.

At £5.50 each this should have been £11 but instead I was charged £16.50. For each 3 bought this means a DTD of £11 and a net cost of £5.50

Tesco Direct do a 3 pack for £12 so only useful if the 342 SEL is still there and the date is incorrect.

Me again with the storage boxes. Was in store tonight and saw they had them back on 3 for 2. I picked up 6 boxes and calculated that the total would be £22. Imagine my shock when the total came to £16.50 so basically half price. I asked the SA to ring another 3 through and the final total came to £22 which is what I had worked out it would cost for 6. This makes the boxes less than half price.

The receipt looks like the following in case there is a better combination for anyone who is interested:

    6 @ £5.50 £33.00
    Cheapest free -11.00
    Cheapest free -5.50
    Total savings -16.50
    3 @ £5.50 £16.50
    Cheapest free -5.50
    Cheapest free -5.50
    Additional savings -11.00
    Total to pay £22

Just bought my son 2 pairs of jammies that were marked down in price the Liverpool ones were marked down to £2.50 but scanning at £3.00 and a pair of Mickey mouse were marked down to £3.50 but went through at £4.00.

took reciept to customer services and CA put it through till and said ok so you get a £1.00 back so i politely pointed out the DTD so she started putting it through again then CA next to her started getting arsey saying that the DTD does not apply to self service as it is up to me to notice at the time.
I then pointed out that the wording states if you are overcharged we refund double the difference and does not state anything about self service so i still got my £2.00 back ;)

They will try anything not to give it nowadays.

Good luck to anyone picking up the jammies just wish i had picked up a few more to put away for xmas oh well may take a wee trip to the home store where all the tills are self service exept 1 lol

    SEL states £1 each.
This one scanned at £1.25 so gave a DTD refund of 50p making it 75p. :-)
    Product Bar code is: 50 52320 337767
    Shows as £1.25 online:

If the others are £1 each on the shelves you may catch them on the other flavours at £1.25 :)

Overcharged at the till (DTD) = YES

Not in Watford since the beginning of the month. There is a sign at CS clearly stating that you will only get your money back on an overcharge, not DTD.

I have an email from Pat Cronin at Tesco headquarters confirming that they offer double the difference, even unto the good denizens of Watford, where I reside. This email was sent TODAY (26 May).

    Is DTD still in force?

price matching with Asda is still going on, just not double the difference now, just the difference

and DTD for overcharge is still in force

In my local today they had the big cardboard displays just inside the door and in one of them they had 2 types of vanish oxy & packs of finish quantum powerball tablets (40's). The display clearly showed the picture and a written description of these 3 items along with a big Half price sign. There was a SEL for the vanish but the finish SEL was missing. The finish scanned at £14.30 on the store scanner, (which I thought was awful expensive). I tried looking on the Tesco site but they didn't show, so tried mysupermarket (through sainsburys) and they were showing at £7.15 at T.
I didn't have much money on me :( so only bought 2 packs, sure enough I was charged £14.30 for each box. Off I trotted to CS hoping for DTD but as there was no SEL for them on the display I was only offered TD, so just got a refund.

Hope someone else can manage to get some of these.

I don't want to be rude but is it really worth the hassle for 25pence?
