How long did your 5k take on tready? Could you be going too fast?

    I don't think so.
The treadmill is set to 5.4 which will be 5.4k per hour I think because It took me an hour to do the 5.1k today.
I have my ipod on and the music is perfectly in time to my running

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Anyone have any suggestions of how to sleep better? It's gotten so bad that my eye keeps twitching and I'm falling asleep now. I get to sleep but the quality of sleep must suck.

Have a milky drink and read before bed, make sure you wind down properly.

Going to pick dd up from school and then take the kids swimming.

    afternoon all.

Toto -that is an appalling way to be spoken to. Address your complaint to the Practice Manager and copy in the local PCT.

Sammy - very sad that someone so young would do that :( I house shared at Uni for a year with someone who tried to commit suicide twice. Both times in the house, I found him the second time, it was very messed up 20 year old man :(

OH was offered a couple of tickets to the Man Utd match tonight (Champions League semi-final) so has gone on the coach with his son. Probably won't be back until 3am or so, I'm hoping to be motivated to get my head down until 8 or 9 with AQA in a minute. Bit of a booger to be considering doing another 6 hours work today as I've aleady done 4 (and the small amount of money it brings me) but that's the way it is I guess.

Afternoon BB  like the signature

Linda, you couldl try slowing your pace down say at 3.4K so you arent as tired when you reach 5K. Or stick something over the mileometer so you cant see it. Get some really good music or if you can, stick a tv in front of the treadmill and watch some music channels or something that gets you going perhaps? Like this sex_by_DeathbyPizzacrust.gif

glad you like it Lenny :D

Had a water meter fitted today and I'm now paranoid about using water! Haven't had to turn the tap on yet. When my ex had the burst pipe/flood when he was away, I bought him 8 litres of Smartprice water to get him through that first night when the water was off. He only needed 2 litres of it so gave me the rest back - I've just rescued it from the car where it's been hiding all these months - might as well use it for the next 2-3 days for drinking water, filling pans for cooking etc rather than running the taps. Just boiling a couple of kettles worth up to do the washing up.

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

ok ladies i need your advice on this as i have just been laughed at mercilessly by the live in landlord and need to know if i am indeed abnormal. when i hang my washing on the line every item has to have exactly the same colour peg on it. even different shades or shapes of the same colour cant be used. It sends me into a right spin and i feel really jittery until i've sorted it!!!!! :D just now i couldn't find a blue peg the same shape and size of the other 2 i'd used on my jacket so took the other two off and replaced them with matching yellow. I'm not kidding here honestly. Stuart was in peels of laughter and called me OCD! :( I was like it as a child too and is the only hang up i have. i also got laughed at as there is no way i will ever hang my smalls on the line but put the tumble drier on for them instead. there is no way i want the neighbours seeing what kind of party bags i wear!!! !!!! DOes anyone else do the same or am i truly bonkers??? HELP!!!

    *whispers sheepishly*

    I do that too :o
