I just received a letter from my bank notifying me that I had earned £24 in interest last year and was TAXED £4 and if I want to claim it back I should do so in my tax return. !!!!!!, so you get taxed on your earnings, your savings and now the interest on your earning as well! Outrageous. Why do they tax me on it if I can claim it back???

Just be thankful...think about council tax - it's paid from taxed income, so if you pay £1,000 per year, you have to earn almost £1,500 (tax and NI contributions) to pay for it...

I am not OCD at all, I hang my trousers by the legs...otherwise the waist band stays damp.

Hang them by the belt loops...

BB, always make sure you visit the loo before leaving ex-OH's and I think the bottle re-filling is an excellent idea ;)
