When my ex had the burst pipe/flood when he was away, I bought him 8 litres of Smartprice water to get him through that first night when the water was off. He only needed 2 litres of it so gave me the rest back - I've just rescued it from the car where it's been hiding all these months - might as well use it for the next 2-3 days for drinking water, filling pans for cooking etc rather than running the taps. Just boiling a couple of kettles worth up to do the washing up.
Well water for me in the SUNNY northeast works out at £1 per cubic metre, or 1,000 litres or 1 metric tonne - so it's not actually too much to worry about. It's the standing charges that kill you - £100 per year or about 100 tonnes of water..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

here we are
I did mine in a pyrex pudding bowl instead of a mug.
The most dangerous cake recipe
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons self-raising flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons sunflower oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix
thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate
chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts
(high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be
alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! This makes 2 large servings - and why is this most dangerous cake
recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from
chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!"Stay Wonky":D

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Actually on the subject of utilities, please people check your meter reading regularly...
My gas company reckon they owe me £40, I reckon I owe them £800...
Those estimated readings can be a biitch if you don't keep an eye on them..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Don't worry - I know someone who burned a boil-in-the-bag curry..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

my charges are
sewerage standing charge £42 per year
water standing charge £17 per year
water £1.71 per cubic metre
sewerage £1.61 per cubic metre.
using their table, I will be either on 75m cubed or 90 metres cubed for their estimate when they set me up which will be around £300 or £350 per year so £30 or £35 per month."Stay Wonky":D
