Thriftlady if you have an mp3 player then I can heartily reccommend www.audible.co.uk .
Csarina my sympathies, you must be worried.
Happy birthday Moggins :beer:0 -
Csarina - sorry to hear about your family. I hope that they get back soon and are all okay.
Pen Pen - sorry you are feeling blue, but this hug is just for you! :grouphug:0 -
Morning all,
Not much planned for today. I had hoped to get the grass cut but it's drizzling so I don't think that will happen. So just normal everyday catching up on housework, homeworks, making tea and going to work tonight. I might make some bread for the freezer later as I've been trying to run it down and I've finally created a bit of space. Last night's thread got me down a bit so perhaps a bit of baking might cheer me up...it will certainly put a smile on the boy's faces when they get home from school.
Have a good day.
Pink
Edit I know many people have been worrying about halight...just to let you know that I noticed he was online yesterday so I'm hoping he's ok and just doesn't feel like posting at the moment.0 -
Csarina Thinking about you all & hope that everything is sorted soon xx
*Moggins* If you still read :bdaycake: Happy Birthday. I miss your posts.
Just back from shopping and I spent ......... nothing :rotfl: The Netto I go to is moving into bigger premises, next door, tomorrow. I thought that the stock move would be done overnight but its half done already so nothing I wanted was on the shelves & the chillres & freezers were all empty. I'll keep my money in my purse and go tomorrow morning instead.
Now what to do with my unexpected couple of hours???? Apart from stay online0 -
Morning All,
For me today I need to post two ebay items and then start sorting some more things out to start listing. Im going to try and list a min of 5 items per day from Monday (Im not totally putting things off, Im recovering from surgery so Im meant to be on bed rest......once things have been sorted out i can ebay from bed LOL)
Im then cooking a lasagna tonight (first time!!) I just hope i can stand long enough pain free to do it.....Im sure i will be ok.
Im also finishing organising my recipes which i started this week, wont take longer then an hour to finish now and im so pleased with the result, it was a job really worth doing.
Have a lovely day everyone

:hello: Good morning!
Penny Penguin ((((((HUGS)))))) Thinking of you.
nic1lou2 - (((((HUGS))))) t you too, hope the funeral goes as well as these things can.
Katie - You look fine - as others have said, the first thing one notices is what beautiful eyes you have, and I had to look for the scar. It will fade even more as time goes on.
moggins -:bdaycake:Happy birthday hon, hope you're okay.
csarina - Big ((((HUGS)))) to you too. I can imagine how worried you are, but they may well be fine. I'm not going to say "Try not to worry" because i'm sure you're doing that already.
meanmarie - So glad you are enjoying the kittens! I'm wondering whether to get a rescued cat when we get home from our holiday in France in June.....There's really nowhere to put a litter tray now though, as there's a dishwasher where the litter tray used to be!
JackieO - Glad you enjoyed your holiday, it sounded as if you had a really lovely time!
Chrisca - What horrible news, thinking of you ((((HUGS)))) The one person who's left will feel really bad about the others. My DSIL was made redundant in March, and I can't imagine how he'll find a new job unless he can get into something different. My DD2 is doing extra night shifts to bring a bit more money in, so she's exhausted.
wannabe sybil - It sounds as if LB and your Df had a lovely time together x
Penny_Pincher - Hope you slept okay x
pixie - It doesn't sound as if you're doing a very good job of being on bed rest! So difficult though, isn't it, things don't stop needing to be done just because we're told not to do them. Get well soon x
Bought a pack of Basics carrots yesterday - good value, but don't think we'll be able to use them all before they start to go off, so will offer half the bag to DD2. We nipped into Aldi too so we could get some frikadellen, which we had for dinner last night. Tonight's dinner will be a healthy stir-fry to make up for it
Washing to do today again (where does it all come from, for goodness' sake? There are only three of us!) and it looks as if i'll be able to hang it outside :j so it will smell lovely.
All for now, have good days everyone xx0 -
Morning all,
Happy birthday Moggins....we miss you...:bdaycake:
Lots of hugs PenPen....hope you feel better soon
Csarina....hugs....
Sybil....do you think that it would help if you took a vitamin C supplement? I always fall back on this when feeling down for any length of time and you are far too young to be feeling so rotten..
No washing here to-day it has been raining all night...and I forgot to take 2 pairs of curtains off the line!! Dinner will be fish cakes if I can summon up the energy and chicken if not
Have a good day all

Just a quickie to offer my support again to Penny and Pink. xxx
Csarina, I know it must be terribly worrying but try to stay positive and know that it is not a guarantee that they will get swine flu. The vast majority of the population of Mexico haven't got it. I hope they are home with you soon.
Sybil, I reckon you need to see a doctor asap. I can't believe the amount of illnesses you get. Hope this one passes quickly.
Happy Birthday Moggins. x
Washing done, housework done, bills paid. Splitting headache and yet more invoices to chase up.
Hope everyone has a better day than that.
Haribo x0 -
Time for :grouphug:&:coffee:Pink & Penny,
also Nic.Hope all goes well at the funeral tomorrow.
Csarina- hope the family will be fine when they get back.
Moggins- Happy Birthday to you
Feel fine today, tum ok.I read on Rhonda Johns(?) blog that if you don't work outside your home, then the home IS your job.Well I had a day off from my 'job' yesterday and feel much better for it.Watched 'Love Actually' curled up on the sofa in the afternoon,AND I put the heating on.Anyway back to normal today-big washing load done, might do another as its nice.
Having the meatballs tonight -didnt fancy them yesterday.I'm really missing baking, but have lost another 2lbs so perhaps its worth it  We're at a wedding at the end of May and it would be nice to sit down in my dress without the roll making an appearanceJust wish I was disciplined enough to eat my baking as a treat. We tend to polish it off pretty quick.I could freeze it but havent got much room at the mo.
Oops better go and water my seeds, they soon dry up once the sun comes round onto the conservatory.
DS1 said the interview seemed to go ok,but they are still interviewing more so he won't find out till next week.
Take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
