Morning everyone! Sorry I've not posted for a few days, life's been busy with one thing and another.

We had friends arrive off the evening ferry on Saturday and were with us for 3 nights. They've headed off south now to continue their holiday on some of the other islands.

Last night was a lovely evening here, so stripped our bed and it got washed overnight and it's hanging out on the line as I type. I'd washed the visitors bedding and towels during the day, so it got hung out in the evening. DH edged the lawn, pruned back some bushes and cut the grass while I pottered inside.

    Many Happy Returns Moggins :bdaycake:

Got a busy day ahead but finishing up with a hot stones back, shoulders and neck massage - so that thought will keep me going during the day :)

Have a good day and big hugs to all those that need them.

Morning all.................(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.

I am devasted, my daughter and her family are marooned in Mexico, the sirlines have 'no plans to repatriate holidays makers from Mexico' I cannot believe they could be so stupid. Apparently unless ordered to by the foreign office they will not fly to bring holiday makers home, they do not want to have to foot the bill. As I have said before all flights should have been cancelled on Sunday. I heard yesterday that the authroities knew about this on Saturday, why did they not act then?????

I am so angry, but powerless to do anything........it is almost a certainty that they will all contract the flu and will possibly have to go into quarentine when they get back and all because the airlines do not want to loose money. The medical facilities in Mexico are not the best and I am so feaarful for them all.

They have had 3 bad experiences in that part of the world, I hope they never go there again. They went to the Dominican Republic twice, the first time my SIL's friend committed suicde, the second time there was an earthquake and my daughter cut her feet ob broken glass, their room was demolished, now this..........
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Ooh another audio book fan :) I love them, where do you get yours from Christabell and what kind do you like ? any recommendations?

Thriftlady if you have an mp3 player then I can heartily reccommend https://www.audible.co.uk . You can either just buy a download as and when you want or you can pay £7.99 per month for 1 credit (£14.99 for 2 credits). For each credit you can choose 1 audiobook per month no matter what the normal cost is (some of the larger books are £20 ish so very good value). You get to download the books as often as you like (even after you cancel your membership) no tie in so can cancel at anytime. I rarely use my mp3 player for music but it is stuffed full of books to listen to as I cook, clean, sew etc.

hugs to Penelope pengiun - and anyone else that needs/wants one

    In haste

Csarina - will continue prayers, everything crossed for you.

Nic1Lou1 - still thinking of you, wishing you all the best.

Hung out some washing and when I got back little bear had tipped all his juice over his dish of sliced banana, taken the banana out (the banana on the table was covered in juice) and then was trying to drink the juice from the dish. It was distributed. More washing in.

Csarina I hope that DD and family will be ok but she and her partner are adults and have chosen to go to Mexico despite all the warnings and info it is not up to the airline or the Goverment to forbid travel to any person it is up to them to decide what they choose to do .
I am not having a go but i think that they made their choice and no one forced them to go or to stay at home but as a mum i do understand where you are coming from . I hope they have a lovely time and come back ok unfortunatly its not just Mexico it seems to be travelling around the world and you may come into contact with someone in the supermarket who has been in contact with someone who has been to US/mexico/scotland and unknowingly has the virus

    Morning Chums
:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:Hppay Birthday Moggins, and to anyone else celebrating today.
<<<<hugs>>>> to Pen Pen and also to anyone who feels a bit down and blue.
The sun is shining here in North Kent a nice change from yesterday when it was blooming freezing.I have a machine load of washing on at the moment, so that will be on the line soon hopefully. No shopping to get as I did it all on Saturday so I'm staying away from the shops to save my pennies.
Will be making some little iced cakes for DGS as he pops in everynight when he picks his car up.He is doing work experience in London at the moment so leaves his car on my drive as I live near to the station.bless him he goes at 07.30.a.m. in the morning and doesn't get back until 0.7.45.p.m. at night.he is always hungry and still has to drive home from my house so a few little fairy cakes will keep him going until he gets home.
he's a lovely lad and a real grafter,he will soon finish college, and works all hours at the week-end to keep his little car on the road.
Hope everyone has a good day,
    Cheers JackieO xx
