Oooh, yum, they are nice, thanks EH
.... I'm sure I've been to one in Skye. I know I've been to one in Oban. I used to buy those little miniatures, but I don't actually drink whisky, so I stoppedI like the smell tho.
I've got a book about North Uist somewhere....no, its South Uist.... "A School in South Uist", by FG Rea, subtitled Reminiscences of a Hebridean Schoolmaster, 1890-1913. Its lovely.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
All this talk of Jaffa cakes is (1) making be hungry (2) making me realise I have no jaffa cakes. On the subject of food does anyone know if you can buy a piccalily sauce (but with no bits) like a bottle of ketchup kinda thing? Helps with the sarnies, that's all. Gotta get better with organisation for sarnies (lunchboxes etc) but I'm enjoying it, almost as much as seeing a £5 note remain in my purse nearly all week.
Great bargains at the market EH:T Hope you got some bargains at the charity shop - ours were packed with people today!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

LOL - Oban is my favourite whisky! We've been to the distillery there too - really interesting. If you ever get the chance to go around the Tobermory one on Mull that's an excellent tour. Book sounds interesting - I might have a look on eBay / Amazon for that.mineallmine wrote: »All this talk of Jaffa cakes is (1) making be hungry (2) making me realise I have no jaffa cakes. You could always make your own Picallili and chop the pieces smaller? Or buy a jar and stick it in the blender I suppose?! :rotfl: Hmmmm - you've made me think now, I may have to change my plans for tea so I can open one of our jars!
I got an excellent haul of books at the charity shop - which was exactly what I went in for. Managed to get two Jane Green ones I'd not ready before, a Stephen King I'd not ready before, and an Arther Hailey I'd not read before as well as four others. Think I have read that one!! My favourite Stephen King book is The Green Mile, closely followed by Carrie. I like James Herbert as well.

wish i could do as well as you at the shopping thing, we went last night and spent a small fortune. Although £14 of it was on 6 boxes of cat food which will last almost 6 weeks and were a good price so i shouldn't regret buying them should i?
