Thanks for your wishes EH. Sadly things won't get better, but I must do in coping :A and in providing support.
Looking at your blog, like wow, amazing photos. I have taken a couple of semi decent photos with a digi camera but wow your stuff is amazing. You should have one of these as your avatar. :TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

thanks for the support EH but unfortunately we all own our flats and with ground rent of £15 a year, that they won't actually take, our leases say that we're responsible for the upkeep, top flats do the roof etc and bottom ones do the drains.
dad is still with us, Dr is saying it was a heart attack which is scary as we didn't think he'd survive another one after the 10 he's already had. He's basically only been out of bed twice since and that was just for a shower and he had to go to bed again for the rest of the day to recover. We're just keeping our fingers crossed that he starts to improve but he's not improved so much yet.
ps can i have details of your blog please??0 -

The heading picture on the blog is a slightly different version of the one I use on here. It's one of my favourite shots and was taken on our first evening on holiday the other year - we'd settled intom the cottage, and gone for a walk up the road as we usually do that first evening - as we turned round to come back the sky was going all these marvellous colours - I was so glad I had my camera! The cottage on the rise to the left of the shot is the one we stay in, and the one on the right of the shot is the nearest neighbour! Thank you so much for the lovely comments about the pictures too - I take them purely for enjoyment and it's always lovely when others get enjoyment from them too.Lemon_Tree wrote: »thanks for the support EH but unfortunately we all own our flats and with ground rent of £15 a year, that they won't actually take, our leases say that we're responsible for the upkeep, top flats do the roof etc and bottom ones do the drains.

Bah to unhelpful leases LT - it might still be worth contacting the owner of the freehold though as they "might" be able to bring pressure to bear on the top floor to sort it. I have PM'd you by the way.
I got the Tesco CC statement through tonight - they have charged me interest so I rang up......the very bored sounding girl on the other end of the line took great pleasure in informing me that my interest free period had run out on the 25th Jan and they'd not received my payment until Feb 3rd. Frankly she sounded so bored and uninterested she really put my back up so I "politely" (and trust me, I can be VERY polite!) pointed out that my last statement said very clearly that my balance transfer interest was still at 0%, and that, as has been the case throughout, no expiry date for the offer was printed in the space available for it......and that I felt that after 14 months it was downright unreasonable to imagine that any customer was going to remember the precise date their offer expired. She reluctantly agreed that they would refund the interest (£3.45! :eek:yeah, well, it's the principle of the thing!) back onto the card, to which I asked that they actually just refunded me the full credit balance as I was quite upset that an allegedly responsible company such as Tesco would stoop so low into effectively misleading customers into paying interest, and as a result I was planning to rethink any future plans to continue using the card......!
She even more reluctantly agreed, but not before she'd reminded me twice that the refund was only a goodwill gesture as the interest charge was valid (Yeah, which is why you immediately agreed to refund it I assume!) Ah well, it made for a brief interlude of entertainment in my evening! Fingers crossed unless she is about as efficient at her job as she was eager to be helpful a cheque for £13 should be winging its way to me shortly.

Thanks ladies - I did enjoy it I must admit. At the end of the conversation she asked (still bored sounding) "IsthereanythingelseIcandoforyoutodaythen...?" to which I responded that no, thank you, her being so helpful had really clarified in my mind what I wanted to do with the card.....needless to say it went straight over her head!
