I guess you also have to consider about its resale?0

If ........................:) Theres a reason for it being "given away" - perhaps Im cynical but that just seems too much to be reducing a car.0

Spoke to Sytners yesterday - they say its cos theyve agreed to buy so many from Chrysler and have to sell them by June 30th, hence the deal runs out then, something about quotas.
Not sure if I believe them, but does seem a plausable excuse.0 -
Hmm............at a loss though?0

I've ordered the clio - I can't wait. Go on you know you want some sexy french style...
hehe, i test drove it yesterday and the only thing i did not like was the 'airy' steering.....it is a very sexy car though i do admint
how much did yours cost you and how long was the wait from order date?0 -
I spoke to a delaer yesterday at length, he said exactly the same thing, they are commited to buying them, so if no one else does they have to pre register them on 30th June, thus you cannot have any scrappage allowance after that as you would be the 2nd owner.
The 2.0 CRD is not the only one they have on offer, he sent me a spreadsheat with deals on the petrol (£600 cheaper !) and Dodges as well.
They will deliver nationaly for about £150 as well so no need to travel.0 -
How do you know its at a loss?
Do you know what price Sytners are getting them for?
Well from the little I know about the car trade - which admittedly isnt much - there is little profit in each car sold at RRP - the big money comes in the form of bonuses over the period. If Chryslers are going under there wont be that ongoing bonus to look forward to.
But, by all means if people want the car - go ahead - you will at least have a rare car on the road0 -

The steering felt light at low speeds but more solid when I went on the duel carrageway - I think powersteering is a luxary after my current car!
It's costing £6500 + £350 for metalic paint. I'm due to get it at the end of july. I drove the twingo and the dealer mentioned the clio deal and I had a drive and was sold!0
