My parents have arrived - and they have brought food :j

I now have lamb shoulder, chops and some venison. My dad also took me to Makro and only allowed me to pay for the cat litter I bought, so I now have no more room at all in the freezer for meat :D

Will update later once I have been to Asda...

Just had my first May spend, a grand sum of £5.93. Didn't need much, just bought a bag of quorn sausages from iceland (I saw someone mention these on a previous post but can't remember who, so thanks!), some half-price quorn, salad leaves and asparagus. Shouldn't need a big shop for at least the next week, but we always seem to need something! :D

It's a lovely sunny day here, and I applied for 2 jobs this morning, so I'm feeling quite cheerful! Have a great weekend everyone! :j

Do you all reckon up your spending daily? Surely that would make you obsessed with it!
Just catching up with today's posts as I've been busy, so apologies for such a late reply

I find it easier to do daily - if I leave it more than a couple of days I find I can lose receipts or forget things I didn't get a receipt for! I don't think of it as an obsession - more a means to meeting a challenge

I know I said that I wanted to stay out of the shops this weekend, but I popped into Mr T on the way home from dropping DD at her Dad’s & picked up a few bits.

Got some whoopsied potatoes, as I am down to my last few & these last ages anyway. Some whoopsied stewing steak & ham, which I don’t currently have in my frozen stash of YS meat & fish :o. Mr T has the Princes OJ on BOGOF, so works out cheaper than the Value stuff. And some of the Happy Chicken Co eggs at £1 for ½ dozen, which they didn’t have when I was in there last.

I have the remains of a roast chicken in the fridge, have already had a dinner & a light meal from it but there is a tiny bit of meat left (and the carcass of course!). Also have half a butternut squash, a few tomatoes & probably some other veg bits knocking around the bottom of the fridge, so will make some chicken & veg soup tomorrow.

Huxley – I got a whole sea bass in Mr S earlier in the week, though I paid £2.50 for mine. And I found this: HTH.
