Morning all,
Reverbe, a company cannot find out your email address from MSE unless you have it in your public profile or have posted it yourself.
Penny-Pincher and Ivyleaf, I hope you both feel better soon.
Pooky, glad the house move went well.
csarina, I hope you hear from your dd soon.
Fortunecookie, welcome!
It's dull here but due to brighten up later so I want to get the strawberry plants into window boxes. Some free seed potatoes (courtesy of the grabbit board) arrived yesterday so I'd like to get them in too as well as get the ones I planted earlier earthed up.
I've given the bathrooms a swish this morning, tidied up the kitchen and dusted the living room....I'm really going to have to have a word with ds2. He loves playing with small cars and planes and there are imaginary race tracks and runways all over the house. I know he needs to play but he also needs to put them away when he's finished. I am sick of skitting down the hall on small metal cars that he refuses to allow us to move. Tea tonight is cottage pie then I'm off out to work....I'm enjoying it much more because driving and finding people's homes is so much easier in the lighter evenings.
Have a good day everyone.

I have just heard via Sky news that Thomas Cook are bringing their holidays makers back and Thompsons have also suspended flights, so I am hoping to hear that they are on their way back.........
It has taken them long enough. Flights should have been stopped from Sunday......I just hope none of them has been exposed to the virus via others either on the plane or at the hotel. Keep your fingers crossed please,,,,,,Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning all (just) :hello:
Well I did manage to get up early and enjoyed a coffee in the garden before I woke the troops. The noise of the birds is almost deafening as we have what seems like a whole flock of siskins nesting in the ivy on the hillside.
Got the basic housework done before I got girlies off to school and was at a meeting for 9.30.
Have just done an hour of accounts for OH. 5 outstanding invoices. I realise cash flow is a problem for some companies just now but I wish they would let us know.
Need to pop into town again in a minute. It's gardening magazine day and all the battery operated appliance in the house seem to have died at the same time (shut up Aussie) so I need to get more until we can fix the charger. Also need to ask optitians to replace the legs on my driving specs as the dog ate them.
Tea will be HM meatballs in HM pasta sauce with penne.
Also need to get the yoghurt maker going.
One load of washing is on the line so I hope the rain stays at bay.
pooky :hello:Lovely to see you and congrats on the house move. x
Well done katie on your brave step. x
You must be out of your mind with worry about your family Csarina. I would try not to worry about your OH though as he can choose not to have contact with them when they return and I'm sure they have precautions in place in Cancun to minimise the risk to travellers.
Feel better soon Ivyleaf.xxx
Belated birthday wishes if it's passed Hillstep. Your party sounds great.
Churchie, Tru, Anniebooklover et al where are you?
Bye for now

:hello:Morning all.Hugs to those who want one.Think I'll give myself one as my tum is a bit gyppy so not doing much today.Meatballs in sauce tonight.
DS1 is off for an interview this afternoon so fingers crossed, and its not too far to travel either. He is in a swish little courtesy car he's just picked up-he had a bit of a bump last week. He'll not want to give it back :rotfl:
I've put the yog maker on.My last lot failed for some reason. The only thing I did differently was use fresh milk instead of long life,so I can only think my starter didnt work even though it was a bought probiotic (and fresh). Not to worry.
Pooky- your new house and range cooker sound nice.
Hope everyone has something nice in their day.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

), my problem in the squirrel , he keeps digging everything up to bury his nuts
I used to think he was quite sweet, but I am starting to have dark thoughts now, I would not hurt him really but  he makes me mad.
Csarina I can only try to imagine how worried you must be. Try not to fret; I know that's easier said than done. (((HUG)))
I'm shattered after the CAMRA meeting last night. It was only 2 hours, but it seemed much longer. Made worse by the fact that I had to limit my liquid intake as the pub loo isn't disabled-friendly.
Shepherd Spy for lunch today, as Mr LW is w*rking from home, then when he finishes we have 3 bags of grass clippings to take to the tip. Not sure after that - there are a couple of films on at the cinema that I'd quite like to see, and Tuesday is cheapie day. On the other hand, my hair needs colouring....... Ah, decisions, decisions......:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning all,
Nice day here, sunny and cloudy at intervals, 2 pairs of curtains in wm at present, they will go out on line, have selected 900 rpm rinse, to save on ironing...think that I might put some lining on them before they go back up...one thing done towards preparing for next winter....will make me feel so smug and efficient!
OH gone to day hospital, I had meeting with bank re some investments which have matured, have selected one which I think will be ok, very careful that it be capital guaranteed as no idea how things will go over next few years.
Lamb chops with couscous and various veg for dinner, I am only person here for lunch so it will be sandwich of some kind, or if I am really good some fruit as trying to stay away from bread as much as possible.
Csarina....must have missed out on what OH's diagnosis for his 'dizzys' was...what treatment are they giving him? Hugs re DD and family.
Hugs to all in need or want, welcome to any newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating.
Have a good day all, no doubt I will be back at some stage

Morning all!
Just a quick one as I have loads to do before the funeral tomorrow. Just had the shock of my life again and wanted to give you all a little warning. Sadly just had to send an email to MSE re the forums. For the second time now despite being careful not to post anything that could ID me, I have recieved email at my personal private email,(NOT a pm) for a company I had minor grievances with. I don't know how they are doing this and fidning out my personal email (and quite frankly I am gobsmacked at what this makes me think of MSE now) but folks do be careful when posting any gripes as it seems somehow you can be identified by the company.
Sorry Reverbe but I think you are just scaremongering, and why blame MSE? No-one has found me in 4 years. You are posting your private email for freebies, competitions. etc. Is your privte email your own name or can it be related to your MSE name. Why not as I do have more than one email for different uses. One for on here, and another for competions/freebies, and a private one, googlemail, yahoo, hotmail you can have as many as you want for free.
These companies are able to sell on their email lists as we all know, and thus you need to take the necessary precations. I have just ditched one email address as all it got now was rubbish, switching anything I wanted to a new one first.
