    Hi Dizzymum.

Worrying wont make any difference it will just tie you up in knots.

Do something nice to take your mind of it....plan a walk or a wander around town centre...or visit friends etc

Remember whatever happens will happen whether you worry or not.

Its the weekend so get out there & enjoy it Honey....you deserve it!

Hi Comet91, congratulations to you, welcome to the club and well done for getting through it all. best wishes for your OR interview too, natural to be nervous. Just remember not to waffle and only answer what you get asked, the OR will likely be silent at times whilst they make notes so don't be tempted to fill in the gaps.

    A update -
I had my phone interveiw with the 'OR' yesterday, A very nice lady i have to say.
I think i will have to make some sort of payment for 3 years, which i kinda think it is only right and fair. I have to wait for another SOA form which i will have to re fill incoming /outgoings info,
For me i have had this big headache which is my hp car,i know it will / has to go back which i explained to the 'OR' . I stated on my org 'br' form that my SOA is more than likey going to chage due to the car which i know will be properity of the hp company as i am in breach of the terms and cond's with them and the said car is now theirs.
I work approx 45 miles round trip frpm my home, the said use public transport is not an really a option for me.I have to do a school run in the mor'g before i go to work.Lucky me for wife has just been awarded a ten year length of service, which means has get access to a pool of cars at a very good reduced rate . I am allowed to be put on the insurance-
So the said car will be my means of transport, i will have to put petrol in it, but not pay a high insurance on it,( all i will be paying is £15 insurance).
So all in all i am feeling alot better now as i can see the finishing line, just got to send a few bits to the 'OR' and i think i will be crossing the finishing line and can start to bluid my life again ( BUT THIS TIME AROUND IF I CAN'T PAY FOR IT CASH I DO NOT WANT IT- )LOL.

Hi dibs, speaking from experience, don't expect the Halifax to keep your account open - they have a tendency to close the account completely once they learn you are BR, even if the OR says they have no interest in it. They are not a BR friendly bank. I hope that you have another account as a back up just in case because I strongly suspect you will need it. I hope they prove me wrong for once! Let us know! Am pleased that the first contact with your OR went well.

Well, you are not to be proved wrong on this one Donna, computer said.....noooooo. So not to worry opened a Barclays account today, details in other thread. Anyway, a week tomorrow I've been BR, so far so good, for the first time in ages, no post from any creditors :j
Got my official BR order through, and it said you must attend to your OR as soon as possible, but having spoken to her last week, I was insure. So phoned her up to check, and said no problem, you dont need to come in. She is still waiting on my file to be given to her from the courts, and will then go through it, she said in about 2 weeks time we should be having the interview. Cant believe Mr Xmas yours has been done within a week.

Will keep you up to date....
    Cheers Dibs

Hi Dibs, once i got to April, i said to myself i got to do somthing,i phoned CCCS for advivce, they told me i got two options , a debt managerment plan or going 'BR', for the debt plan was a non stater in my eyes, i am 47yrs (48 in two weeks time) for me to be paying back a sunm for 20/ 30 odd years would be mad, as i would be looking after my reindeers with no money coming in etc. That left me with the option of 'BR'.I decided this is what i got to do.It was my daughter b'day on the 16th of April turning into a teenager. i said to my self i got to get that out the way 1st of all before i do anything. The following weekend i sat the wife down and told her i was in big trouble re money, she kind of thought/ knew i was but not to the amount it was.The went to our local court , got the forms, filled them in after my hours of trying to gather info etc, ( as santa i got alot of years of obtaining credit - lol, needed start dates tc)I did go to file on the 1ST of of May,- but while i was waiting i was looking at forms and found stuff that i had filled in and i was not sure etc if it was right.I still sat their untill the counter was opened, As i was number in que i went up to desk and spoke to clerk. I said to her i was not sure on a couple of areas and was their anyone i could have a quick word with. She rightly told me i was going to swear in front of a judge etc, if i have any dubts i should go away and cheek then come back,( at this point i was a mess etc). i went home re check everything and i found lots of errors (just as well i did out do it on the Friday)i took the whole weekend to re check and sort out. Come Monday went back and the rest is history.

My advice to anyone is if you are thinking of going 'BR' IS JUST DO IT, don't waste time by thinking shall i or shall i not etc, if you are in a mess, you need to sort it out, and sort it out now rather than later, once you come to terms with the fact you are in a big mess, you will be able to focus on what you need to do etc for filling for it ( that it self can be trickly as if you are like me you can't remember dates that you may of done stuff etc)

BUT AS SANTA - IT IS THE BEST THING I HAVE DONE FOR A LONG WHILE (APART FROM AT CHRISTMAS OF COURSE WHEN I GIVE OUT LOADS OF PRESENT- LOL-
BUT GUYS n DOLLS I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS FOR YOU ALL - THIS YEAR I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GIVE THOSE GIFTS OUT DUE TO ME GOING 'BR'.
MY NEW MOTO IS IF I CAN'T PAY FOR IT CASH I DON'T WANT IT- LOL.
