I don't really know the answer to this one am afraid, you might be better to make it a new thread on the main board so more people will see it perhaps? You could try posting it on the mortgages board too as they may know more.

I think however once you have signed up as guarantor, then it is for the life of the mortgage with the original company it was taken with. If you remortgage with the same or a new company, then I believe the guarantor would need to re-sign the paperwork in order for him to continue being guarantor. If you just change from one fixed interest deal to another, I don't think that would remove the guarantor's responsibilities.

I was hoping to submit my DRO this week but the postman has not brought me my barcode to pay the £90. he keeps bringing me all the nasty letters from creditors though lol . I will let you know when the deed is done, and hope you can all keep your fingers crossed for me while i wait to hear form the OR to let me know if my application has been accepted.
