Hi trulymadly,
I hope you enjoyed your steak.I've added your post into the daily thread where we chat about the Old Style things we're up to and what we're making for tea etc.

Penny, they did! I freeze it for her so that she can pop it straight into her freezer when she gets back, but apparently security thought it might defrost on the half hour flight and she could attack the pilot or somone else with homemade tomato sauce for pasta! :rotfl:

Have to go in a mo to pick up the girls from Brownies.
I've had a crazy weekend and a busy monday so I'm not finding the time to post much. The weather was lovely at the weekend so we had a picnic on Saturday and lunch at a country pub on Sunday.
Got loads of washing done but it seems to have bred again so two loads have just gone on the pulley.
We weren't hungry enough for tea last night so I cooked the full roast when we got home and reheated it for tonight. It was lovely and as the chicken was 3 kilos (reduced to <£5), there is loads left. I made some chicken and sweetcorn sandwich filler this morning with the odd bits of bird and smoked mackeral pate using up some cream cheese that was past it's sell by date.
Also cleaned out the fridge and made a yummy pasta sauce from a few jars of antipasto in the fridge. will have it with meatballs tommorrow night.
Work continues in the garden. Everything is thriving with the combination of sun and rain so it's keeping me fit and busy. :jOn the downside though, the slugs are out in force so as well as crushed shells and copper tape I am doing a midnight slug hunt armed with torch, salty water and a pair of tongs.Caught 16 on one plant last night.
Belated well done to the small penguins
Hope all the hossie appts went well.
Welcome back JackieO. x
Better run.

Edited to add. Pink, I know your cooking can be a bit dodgy but I wouldn't have thought they could class it as a weapon.:p;):D
Back from the Brownie run and have walked the pup. Feet up for half an hour then lunches, uniforms, set the breakfast table and bed.:D My new resolution is to get up extra early as I have so much more energy in the mornings so should hopefully achieve more. That's the theory anyway.

Hello everyone!
Im new here, although I have been reading the posts on the moving house board for a long time. I am ashamed to say that I have only recently discovered this board, but have spent AGES reading all the stickys etcetc.
I live in a very busy house, work part-time, have three children and I am on a mission to scrimp and save a bit so that I can pay for a holiday for us all in the summer. We moved just over a year ago and house needs alot of work, it is eating up all our spare cash. So I will be reading your posts with great interest and I hope you dont mind if I jump in here and there....0 -

Well a bit late in the day but watching Nigella and trying to catch up. Back to work today for the first time in 3 months after my op. boy am I glad I have a phased return and only in 4 hrs a day this week as they have done no paper work in the months I was off. head was banging by home time.....I can see it being a bad week.
Boys are finally tucked up in bed, peace at last. Well, till 6.30am when it all starts again. I really wish I could stay at home with them as feel like am chasing my tail all the time and miss them!!
Plants enjoyed their water in the rain today but am on pest control now. I officially hate slugs and pigeons lol. I am now trying coffee grounds to keep the slugs at bay. Will try anything as well as the £1 beer traps from teh pound shop.
Oh well, off to try my hand at menu planning am determined I can cut back. just have to avoid Tesco to do it.
Hugs to all that need them and hugs to you all anyway xxAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:
Fear is a disease....Hope is it's only cure!0 -
