    Morning all,

Penny Pincher & Christabel Good luck at the hospital (((((((hugs))))))) to you both.

SOMO1 Good luck with the exam!

((((((((((hugs)))))))) to anyone else who needs/wants them too.

Raining & cool here so the washing will be on the maidens for sure. Old faithful spag bol for tea and soup for lunch so an easy cooking day. DH starting his nights tonight so he'll be going for a sleep after lunch. It'll be easier for him now that the children are all back in school/college :T

I've dusted, tidied & gone through the house with a black bin bag so far I've just got to hoover the floors & the sofa's now. Not much on the OS front really here today apart from a bit of repairing that needs doing to DS3's jeans & school trousers ;)

Have a good day & I'll catch up later.

    Morning all,

Penny Pincher and Christabel, I hope your hospital appointments go well today.
Mrs Mix and Ivyleaf, I hope you are both feel better soon.
Aussie, glad you had a good time. It really doesn't seem like three years since you moved.
Tired mum, have fun at lakeland.....that's somewhere I'd love to go.
    Stressedoutmum, good luck this afternoon!
    Welcome to brighterfuture and frugalswan.
Churchie and tru, where are you both?

We got dd safely on the plane back to uni despite much rearranging of bags to suit ryanair's baggage allowance. Why we have to take stuff out of her main case and put it in her hand luggage beats me....It's all going on the same plane! At least this time they didn't confiscate the frozen homemade canelonni, stroganoff, shepherds pies and bolognese, so I know she'll be well fed for the next week or so. It breaks my heart to see her go but it's good to know that she's happy there and it will only be another six weeks or so before she's home again. I might even take another trip over to see her before then. Plans for today are to sort out her room and get her bedding washed and on the line. It's a beautiful morning here with clear blue skies but we are forecast rain so I hope I can get it dried outside.

I'm back to work this evening. I had lots of anual leave to use so have been off since the 4th of April. As usual I'm not looking forward to going back, but I know I'll enjoy it when I get into the swing of things. The lighter evenings will make it easier too. Tea tonight is soup and a pud because that works well with me going out as everyone else comes home. I've got a chicken carcass simmering to make stock and I'm going to make leek and potato soup with homegrown leeks and homemade bread with an apple crumble and custard to follow. I hope I might get some gardening done too and I need to take a trip to the garden centre to pick up some eracaesius compost for the blueberries.

    Have a good day everyone.

Pen pin / christabel good look at the hosp. I took DD2 to the childrens hospital for her physio appointment this morning .it normally takes 10-15 mins max to get there took 50 minutes and I had to drop her off to go in on her own otherwise she would have been late . traffic is terrible
jackie glad you enjoyed your hol . my dad was born on popple street, all I can remember is my grandma heating her iron on the fire and me being scared to go to the loo because it was outside and there were loads of spiders!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Darling father has gone home.

Little bear is exhausted by being relentlessly played with and has had two bananas in quick succession.

OS I will be rinsing some things through in the bath  until I can get wishy washy fixed. Then trying to get them dry. It's raining here.

Just really popped on to wish Christabell and Pen Pin all the best luck and hugs to all.

welcome2.gif to Brighter future - I love that name!
Pink winged - I have used polysterene packaging in my outside pots for a couple of years - it makes them so much easier to lift without all those crocks in the bottom. I think I read it on a website 2 or 3 yrs ago, so every time a parcel arrives with it in, it goes into the shed.
Noahs - glad the apple cake was good, though it is a fail safe recipe.
redruby - all tokens gratefully received, thanks honey.x
Essex - at least you have a permanent reminder of the cat in the concrete. When we were patching an area, we got the kids to press their hands into it for posterity!
jayward - glad the copper tape info was useful
scuzz - I used to do Slicethepie but the new rules make it very confusing to me...:rotfl: Will stick to writing business reviews on bView I think.
JackieO - glad you had such a good time, I love that area of the UK and homity pie is delicious
Marie - Oh the kittens sound gorgeous, would love to see a pic too
SOMO1 Good luck with the exam!
Nic1 - still thinking of you
    Halight - where are you?
    Squiggles - hi honey

Gosh I feel tired today. I did get to talk to Tristan but only for about 30 mins - he wasn't feeling so good.

Just had a horrible glass of orange juice - really metallic taste to it. Shan't be having that again.

We had some rain last night but today is dry and sunny again which is lovely, I am not risking the washing on the line though, there are a few clouds in the sky. Plus the chickens in the house at the back have all just gone back indoors so that might be a hint that rain is imminent. They all sunbathe on the roof of their roost on a nice day and you can hear them gently clucking all day.. it's lovely.

All the credit card statements arrived today so better get some cheques sorted and sit and arrange next months budgets.
Warm gentle grouphug.giffor anyone who wants one today.

they should be in the air now, not heard anything to the contrary so can only assume they are on their way to Mexico, none of them seemed bothered about the flu bug that they have there.............

I hope that they are ok csarina as it's just been on the lunchtime news that people are being advised against travelling to Mexico. I thought of you straight away - this forum has that effect I think.
