DW has finished... will leave it to dry properly before unloading :D back lawn mowed. The garden needs a LOT of work, so I think that needs to be my plan for my week off. I'm having one of those days where there is so much to do that I really can't focus on anything!

Big old hangover - went to a friend's wedding last night. Didn't get there until late as stuck at work, so foolishly played catch up with vodka, lime and soda.

Inlaws still here - 14 days to go. OH has spirited them off somewhere so I'm getting stuck into the house. Amazing how much more mess an extra two adults can make.

The settee has just had the clean of it's life. It's a big Barker and Stonehouse leather job we bought off the inlaws when they 'moved abroad'.

I've almost been down to my shoulders in it. Removed much cat hair, many crumbs, a few dubious stains and £2.50 in change.

At least you're getting paid for your efforts! Hopefully a bit more loose change will fall out of the inlaws pockets for you to collect when they leave!

Thanks - we had an incident yesterday morning when half of my breakfast muffin 'disappeared' which I am calling MUFFINGATE.

Let me set the scene - I have to be at my desk, buzzing and ready to go by 8am. So, breakfast is prepared the night before, so I can hoy it down while applying my face.

Fri's brekkie was a treat - a delish fruit muffin from Costco, on a plate in the fridge with a fat-free yoghurt.

As I was getting ready for bed, I noticed MIL coming up the stairs, stuffing her face with summat.

She has a tendency to have a few glasses of vino, fall asleep on the settee, then wake up, hit the fridge and grab the nearest thing to eat.

Only this time it was the top half of my muffin.

Given we have some differences over acceptable levels of personal hygiene - me, daily showers, them, weekly baths - the defiled muffin was binned.

    Afternoon all

I've got two loads of washing on the line; sometimes it's sunny and sometimes really cloudy and then it goes cold, but it's dry.

I've cut the grass back and front, edged it and swept up. Then I polished in the living room and the computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs.

Going to catch up a bit and then watch Brothers & Sisters.
