Hi everyone..
Hope you're all enjoying the weekend, 'fraid I haven't read back the last couple of days to see how you're all doing..
Better confess that I've completely lost track of the lists this week..oops! Spent yesterday doing bits in the garden and today we've been out all day, it was a lovely day & well worth missing all the house chores for! It does mean tho that I've got to do something tomorrow else we'll have no clean uniforms for work and I'm really going to have to hoover...are mine the only cats thats seem to bring half the dust & dirt from the garden in with them??! We've got laminate floors & its all crunchy now!! Not a good advert for this thread at the mo am I?! :rotfl:0 -
Dustykitten wrote: »Justamum how long have you been waiting for your seeds to germinate? I had lots of failures this year on my first sowing - peas can be tricky to start outside - they say when sowing "One for the mouse, one for the crow, one to rot, one to grow ". I start mine in the cold frame with the lid closed or in guttering in the garage (no mice in there). Tomatos need heat to germinate usually.
I may be a bit late with the peppers and tomatoes - I only sowed them last week, but they are on the windowsill covered over to retain some heat. My DD2 wanted to 'help' to grow things after we planted some wild flower seeds, so she opened the packet of peas and just threw them on the soil :rotfl::rotfl:. Luckily I found where she had 'planted' them and picked them up and planted them properly! I'll be more organised for next year - this is a sort of practice run for my allotment. I might be absolutely rubbish though, you never know. It's a bit of a learning curve atm.0 -
