Garden looking fab if I do say so myself. Still need to earth potatoes up again, dig up leeks and prepare said bed to plant out peas but coming along nicely. Hope to get that finished tomorrow am when DS is at a friends.

Time to peel some pots now and light the BBQ

I've got a few things in pots - strawberry plants which seem to be doing ok; lettuce which I planted last weekend and they all seem to have sprouted; potatoes I have planted in bags and seem to have started growing. In the kitchen I've got tomato and pepper seeds - nothing from them yet; pumpkin seeds, ditto; pea seeds in the garden, ditto.

I had about a dozen wild primroses growing on the lawn at the front which look lovely until DH strimmed the lawn, so I've dug them up and put them in pots (they're my favourite spring flower).

I should be getting an allotment in about November which I'm looking forward to! An extra job on my 'flying'! DD2 will be in school by then so I will be able to spend quite a while each day growing stuff!

We seem to have the same taste in men. Remind me not to introduce you to my DH :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(bit more eye candy on my avatar!)

DS is going on a school trip on the 11th, then cub camp in June and he's all excited, so he's [STRIKE]nagged[/STRIKE] persuaded DH to sleep in the tent in the garden with him tonight. Rather him than me - camping/tents/sleeping bags are my idea of hell!

Happy Birthday (for tomorrow) little Mr MrsDawn :)
juliejim hope you had a great time, I'd love to go there
serena pleased to hear your Mam seems better, especially after the worrying hospital visit. Must be lovely having that family time when it's not planned, just happens, lovely

I am soooo tired, bed at 4.30am and here is why. First I will set the scene, 1.20am, DS1 eventually asleep, sat on sofa reading/deleting emails. I heard this 'noise', knew what it was straight away....nibbling. So I switched the light on and kept very quiet and still. From DS2s shoe pops up a little head.....then it went 'meep meep' and another appeared jumping into DSs other shoe....ARGH MICE! Anyway queue Benny Hill music, me chasing the little critters. I gave up, waited for DP to get in (I couldn't have slept knowing they were there) anyway he came in at 3.30am and Benny Hill routine again, we eventually caught them both and worked out where they had been sleeping (cupboard under stairs) so anyway EVERYTHING had by then been turned upside down catching them. DP released them over the field (which is at the end of our street) little pests! We'd seen evidence in the garage before we went on holiday, DP put a sonic thing in and thought they had gone when we were away, yes they had, in the house! We're 10 houses away from loads of fields so got to expect it at some point. Going to invest in some humane traps next week and a seal for the garage door!

Anyway, hence I am now really tired. I've cleaned out the cupboard and disinfected it, then reorganised it. What a kick up the bum it was to get it sorted lol. So now the sitting room looks worse than it did as after sorting the cupboard I've left the rest upside down so we could go to empty the caravan. I am STUNNED how much stuff was in there, wow, my people carrier is full and loads of stuff in DPs car. So it's ready now to swap for the new one on Tuesday.

Silly me never thought to check the chicken I got out to defrost on Saturday so when I get home, no it was still frozen! So it's been a quick pizza tea :o have the chicken tomorrow. DS1s in the bad books for messing up his room again. DP however seems to have his heart set on going swimming somewhere tomorrow but I best check where we were going to go is open, it's a council ran one and Jo's made me wonder if it will be open. We were going to go to wet and wild up here but heard a lot of reports that it's always really dirty and in bad state of repair.

Going to watch Secret Millionaire, have some food then hopefully do loads more in the living room.
One day I might be more organised...........

Justamum how long have you been waiting for your seeds to germinate? I had lots of failures this year on my first sowing - peas can be tricky to start outside - they say when sowing "One for the mouse, one for the crow, one to rot, one to grow ". I start mine in the cold frame with the lid closed or in guttering in the garage (no mice in there). Tomatos need heat to germinate usually.

I've put the 4 things I wanted to on ebay, chased a non payer yet again. Just need to look to see if I've got any free relists to do.

I've had a nice epsom salt and lavendar oil bath and am making my hot water bottles. House is a tip, so I'm hoping that if I get to the gym for 8am tomorrow (Jo - mine is open 8am-12pm, although I think the swimming is lane-swimming only all morning), have a run and possibly a swim too, then I might have the energy to do the decluttering.

I also need to make my mind up on my work benefits (as even if things go badly, I'll be there/on gardening leave for at least three months), as it's that time of year again - I've picked dental insurance, gas/plumbing/heating/electric cover, wine (one case a quarter!), critical illness insurance, travel insurance, AA membership for me and my brother, additional leave and some charity stuff. I just need to decide how much leave and what level of dental insurance, and work it out within my allowance. I thought about AVCs for my pension, but decided that I have enough, as I already have a personal pension so don't really need another.

I've had a quick look at what jobs are available, and there are a couple of high profile ones in major corporates that might be worth a look. I'm collecting all the job descriptions to help me update my CV! If I can get a couple of versions done tomorrow I might get some applications in and then start calling headhunters on Tuesday.

Hope you all manage to make the most of the extra day off tomorrow!
