lol fly_flo loads of people are coughing and sneezing at the moment, there's a lot of it about. On my (packed) journey to and from work everyone glares everytime someone sneezes or coughs. DH reckons they are now saying that although it's likely to be a pandemic, the actual illness will not be as bad as expected, not sure where he read that - BBC I think.

Right, I am going to put my feet up and watch casualty before phoning my mum. We're suppossed to be going to the pub with DH's mate tonight. Not sure whether i'll go to be honest - I hate the pub, the beer is not great, there's an awful quiz where the woman shouts down the microphone and it's just generally not the kind of place i like (but it's the best of a bad bunch around here!)

I've done nothing today except deleting emails and programmes on the freeview box:o Now I'm just debating whether to go and see Wolverine at the cinema or not. I was going to go yesterday but the day disappeared on me, DD is back tomorrow so I won't get a chance to go again....then again I could save the £10 it would cost (by the time I pay to get in, a drink, tea from McDonalds as part of my treat) and stay in and watch the first 3 Xmen films, then rent it when its comes up on Lovefilm... Decisions decisions.... :o

    Congratulations Jo!! :T:T:T:T

I've ironed about half of the ironing mountain, and have realised that I have quite a bit of tidying and decluttering to go before I can start getting things really clean again. My flying has slipped over the last few weeks, and the clutter is what really causes the problem.

So tomorrow will probably be decluttering day, with a bit of gardening thrown in if the weather improves. I also want to get myself to the gym, for at least either half an hour of swimming or CV, but preferably both (CVfirst, then swim...), as I really, really need to boost my CV if I'm going to shift any weight!

Garden looking fab if I do say so myself. Still need to earth potatoes up again, dig up leeks and prepare said bed to plant out peas but coming along nicely. Hope to get that finished tomorrow am when DS is at a friends.

Time to peel some pots now and light the BBQ

Hello! Been very busy today, and am waiting for the lasagne to cook so we can eat it and go out again, going round to a friend’s house for the evening. I’m starving, hope it cooks soon!
This morning I cleaned the bath as it turned out DH hadn’t done it on Friday. I feel like I claimed my star under false pretences! Anyway, I have earned it now, the bath is all clean and shiny and I cleaned the tiles and some dirty marks off the wall.

Toots, you poor thing, your gullet sounds really sore. Could you eat sugar free jelly, that would slid down and be nice and soothing

Lady Liberty sorry to hear you are feeling so ill, hope things improve for you. Glad you are getting lots of support. Please keep posting, you can be our cheerleader!

Justamum nice to see you back and I hope your MIL will make a good recovery

Princess Jane, sounds like your cat is getting revenge on your inlaws dog on your behalf! Don’t worry, your suffering will soon be at an end

Serena, glad to hear your mum is home and is so well

Rach, Hever Castle is lovely, glad you had such a nice time

Moonflower, I can’t believe your hooover caught fire! Hope you are ok and your home didn’t get damaged. I really would not turn it on again!

Kazm and Rach, we went past Canary Wharf on our trip along the river last week. Never seen it before. Very very tall buildings!

Jo, hope you feel better soon

Not completely caught up, got to get changed and go now. Will catch up properly later.

note to self: need to read from p.51 onwards.

Toottifrootti, thanks for the welcome and the pm! I think I will do this one step at a time, despite my best intentions today I've done virtually no cleaning (been getting on with my OU assignment and now I'm all wound up!). I've had enough studying for one day so am about to have my dinner and then do some cleaning (I need to get all this stress out, a bit of scrubbing and hoovering just might do the trick!). I'm looking forward to seeing next week's lists and joining in
