Thanks Toots - needed a change and liked the idea of sitting down with a cuppa all day... :rotfl:

Right, kitchen nearly done, have got carried away and have painted the end wall as it was a mess - god only knows why, I've got so much to do, but as the table was pulled out I thought I should? :confused:anyway, it's done now, rest needs doing but is not as bad as down there and now it's painted in silk instead of Matt, I should be able to keep it looking nice... ***walks away whistling thinking probably won't happen... :rotfl:***

Anyway, I will leave that to dry before I do the floor and go and plant my Rhododendron that my mum gave me and I forgot about ***thanks for the reminder Valli***

Back from the car boot sale. It wasn't very busy - probably because it was quite cold, with wind and quite a bit of cloud. Still, I got rid of quite a lot of cr*p from the garage. My friends got rid of far more, but they had nice stuff - most of it looked like new, some still had the price tags on or was in the original packaging . I think I've come back with about £23 profit, and can now sort through the remaining stuff to get it freecycled this week and then take the rest to the tip next weekend. Then I'll just have to get my parent's gate leg table back to Norfolk (that's easy, it fits in the boot of the car) and work out how to get my dining table back there (not so easy, it doesn't fit in ANY car as its a huge round table that doesn't appear to come apart.

I cleaned the DW filters before I went out, and ran the DW on a cleaning cycle. I didn't put any laundry on though, and looking at the sky, I think I might leave it for later in the week. I suppose I should find a DVD to watch and do some ironing... after I've emptied the chairs, pasting table and trestles out of the car (I'll deal with the rest of it slowly during the week).

Hugs & prayers for summermoon & froddy

ETA - Troilus and Cressyde is about to start on R4, so maybe I'll do my ironing while I listen to it!

    Afternoon all

Having a lovely time in the garden again. Potting up potential plants for sale - DS2 was very excited to get another envelope this morning! Also have emptied my largest pot to put my runner beans in - I used to grow them in there and then started putting them in the ground but I think they did far better in the pot - probably because I watered them more.

Need to dig some compost out and stir it but it is right by the boundary and the neighbours are in their garden at the moment and there is not much screening.

Vali - well done on your achievements outside.

Greenbee well done on your carboot, every little helps and at least you have a plan now for the rest of hte stuff - I think I'll do a few bits on ebay later today.

OK, all floors now hoovered and washed downstairs, kitchen now looks sparkly, especially the cooker... but I have to go out to get some mint sauce as we haven't got any and it's lamb for dinner... numnum (was going to have pork, but... ha ha, not really, after all, 16 people in the whole country with it can't be bad when there are over 68million of us eh! (she says washing her hands just in case... :rotfl:)

Back in a bit, the floor in the hall has dried now so I can get out...

Sorry, just realised that sounds like I'm making light of the whole swine flu thing, which isn't funny for those that have it or those that have died and I am truly sorry for those and would hate it to sound that I am, it's just everyone I speak to at the moment is panicking, and my DS, who is the biggest hypercondriac about, especially when I give him something to do, is sure he has it because he has been sneezing, can't breath properly and has sneezed with blood in his nose, nothing to do with the fact that he has hayfever, has been blowing his nose a lot and, like me, has breathing problems when it gets bad then???
