PJane did you have 'that' talk yet?!?!? ~~good luck vibes~~
she ate your muffin?!?!?!?!? - go get her girl :D

igiveup i agree with SS - why not section a part off and turn that into something nice; once that's done move on to another section?!

i suddenly have 4 kids  (friend asked me if i could have her 2 for a few hours; they are going to visit a friend whose dh died this morning) - they are all playing nicely so far (they are both roughly my kids ages) - and we'll take them to the park once they start playing up

grateful - my department is restructuring, so it looks as if my team will be combined with another. However, what's really bothering me is that the new management (who are developing a culture I'm not keen on...) seem to have different ideas about what I should be doing than I do - and not to realise that as I run a regulatory/compliance team rather than a service-based one, that if they change things there could be problems. Let's just say that if they DO change it, I have no intention of being around when the auditors turn up in the new year!

Earth hour went OK - much as predicted, but it did make the saturday evening shift a little more effort than usual!

MOJT - looks like you need to invite flower round for a cup of tea ;) and hope that she brings her tape measure and some squared paper with her! I did drastic things to my kitchen (the pipes all run through the downstairs loo and are boxed in there, the door has been moved, the water, gas and drains moved...), but my brother and his fiancee have achieved great things by replacing doors, sink, worksurface and floor, and adding wall cupboards in some dead space.

Duvet is on the line airing, another load of laundry is in the machine... can't be bothered to go to the tip or the health food shop, so I'm just off to get petrol and possibly veggies, and then start packing up as much junk as possible into the car!

My fella did last week while I was at work - basically told them coming here seven times in less than a year wasn't on.

There were tears and tantrums, and my misdeeds were recounted - apparently I threw out a slimming magazine of hers, and she didn't like the way I asked him to clean the bathroom rather forcefully in front of her and FIL - she thinks this is 'disloyal'.

Heee Heee, I've been and seen, thank you and noted... ;):T (promise I will be good... :D)

Ohhh, MOJ2, when do you get your kitchen? are you getting it all planned out and everything? Good on you, I know how much you wanted it sorted out, so bet you can't wait. I'm working on a showhome next week, but will be in touch once things calm down a bit and we'll meet up then... :D

I'm working on a Hands On course in 7th - 11th June - if any of you want a house done up on the quick and very cheaply and you live in Harpenden or very close or know someone who does, let me know... we're looking for a house to do up urgently in that area...

Ha, just seen Greenbees post about asking me round for tea, we do need to do that anyway, but I don't mind if you want any advice (didn't even think of offering it, doh! sorry about that)

PJane - ????? surely asking him to clean a bathroom and knowing that he does it is a good thing? I would be chuffed if my DS cleaned a bathroom... I would say that was nit-picking, but then I don't presume that my Son and DIL want me to live with them 7 times a year at 3 weeks a time...;)

Off out shopping now, see you soon x

Is that a really bad word? I just thought it meant idiot? :o

Went out for a little bit with DH this morning and we did our shopping. I hate shopping, especially on a Saturday, but it was needed. I didn't think we needed much but it came to £76  Yikes! We haven't been for ages tho, so had run out of quite a lot it turns out.

DH is cooking dinner now, so after that I can get in there and do the fridge and the food cupboard. Hopefully he will mend the shelves and I can sort it out, or perhaps he will sort it out too!

My HHI is going to be a HH Sew again, will be doing that while watching TV later.

Still catching up with the thread, so will get back to that now!
