I forgot to say to you lovely peeps This morning show rang me on friday to ask me about the email I sent them (they are doing a fashion shot about summer balls/proms/cocktail dresses on tuesday June 2nd) OH and I are going to a summer ball 1940's so emailed asking for help, the researcher rang me took all my details down and if she does not call back I am not on tuesday, at least it is refreshing to know that they do read the emails and it is not just into cyber space they go:D

Thank you for the lovely touching comments about me being a good mum, they come first, always;)

Eldest is on his first day of work experience tomorrow, where did the years go?:D He is very nervous and I am too for him but he will be fine, he has to cycle there just over 2 miles but for a teenager that is fine,(the bus pass was going to be £20 a week:eek:) it is daylight there and back so he will be fine, his dad showed him the route and they cycled there and back together yesterday:D

I've just ordered a bicycle:j. The significance of this is huge: 18 months ago I didn't know is I would be able to drive again, was on 2 sticks and needed help turning over in bed let alone getting out of it.

It's just so fantastic to be feeling well enough to tackle all this; normally I can do about 5 mins before having to sit down so I'm loving making hay while the sun well and truely shines.

I am really pleased for you:D I know what the pain is like as you know, I have stupidly done something foolish, I have never really wanted to be on tablets forever so had a good spell in the arthritis and then decided to stop taking them:rolleyes: the last few days my left hand has been so painful it has reduced me to tears and frustration that I cannot even cut up a swede and have to keep asking for help, that will serve me, always take the tablets that is what they are there for:rolleyes:

BB - congratulations! I hope the bike turns out to be exactly what you need. I bought my first ever bike a couple of years ago, and my criteria was that it had to be a good upright position, as leaning forward makes my hands/wrists ache, it had to have a sprung/suspension seat for my lardy harris, and it had to be a lightweight aluminium frame, so that I have a chance of getting it out of the shed on my own. I always had to borrow my older sister's bike as a kid, and could never touch the ground on it, but this one has the lower frame height too, so it's a perfect fit. I was a bit saddle sore the first few times, but I was fine after that, and it's been fab.

victory if you need some help for hte 40s thing let me know - I've got tons of research pics and can point you in the right direction for stuff. I actually have an antique forties formal dress in an approximate size 14 - i haven't worn it yet, i do intend to, but i could certainly look at loaning it if you promise to love it. I hope your hands are feeling better.

yay bb!! getting a bike sounds ace. I forced myself out into the sunshine too - on unny days i've always liked sitting inside wit hte windows open which my family have always found odd.

and thanks for the pics granny. loving the shape of the hood and the switswoo monster fridge freezer. I shall have to find myself a cheapie camera so i can take pics when i do mine. been vvvvvvv good all day no syns to make up for the naughtiness last night. even had tea before oh gets in so i can't be tempted by takeaway food! Got quite a lo9t of work done this weekend, all the stuff for the month end for my business, and even cleared the ironing mountain. still not cleaned the lounge though. i ran across a thread somewhere else on the site that was about how frequently people vacuumed and changed bedding and stuff. gosh i'm a dirty mare.

thanks kpc the help is much appreciated, point away:D the prize is either £100 or £500 in tokens they have not decided yet (£500 yeah:j) so it is worth making the effort to win best dressed, that is why I was so pleased this morning show rang, I mean they give you the dress for free and the make up and the hair, a bit of pampering didn't do anyone any harm:D also if you could for OH also as he has no clue what to wear, gracias;)
