BB - Asda on a Friday... rather you than meHow did you get on?
And had a bad spell with my low dose chemo drugs today (don't forget, not for cancer, but the form of arthritis I have, so don't worry peeps): made me feel shattered and nauseaus this afternoon, so went to bed instead. Up again now and had to have crumble to feel better:o. Fortunately they don't affect me that way every week, it's all a bit random.
Tomorrow moring it's Pilates at 9a.m. and I could do with a day of decluttering and paperwork afterwards.
Sary - we're like you, fortunate that we are a fairly low cost couple to run:D. As a result of joining the 'live on 4k challenge' I've really got in to budgetting, accounting for every penny, and budget forcasting for the year ahead and it's made a real difference to making the most use of the income we do have rather than frittering away on little things. We sacrifice some space(have to put our bed up in our sitting room every night) in order to have lodgers to make ends meet though.
Tragically happy every evening to think, oh good, an evening in together. Does us good to get out sometimes too, though but generally it's into the countryside with a HM picnic or down to the sea at the mo.
Look forward to hearing about you building creating your new home now you have finished the dismantling of the old.
Raph - do you feel more motivated to train again: how about saxing, have that picked up?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Well why not aim high Raph! Go for it! As long as you'll be happy and proud whatever time you get - and I think we know you well enough to know that you will!
I actually did a sub 2-hour half marathon myself yesterday... 1h55m... but it was on inline skatesI know I'll never be able to run as fast as I can skate - so huge respect to those who can and do.
Sorry to hear you had a bad afternoon BBHope the weekend goes well, are you still enjoying the Pilates?

Buttons I'm glad you got some indication that it wasnt too much to worry about? Still not much consolation though. Wasn't going off the pill supposed to stop the conjuctivitus? Or am I confused again.
Victory I'm so sorry you have to give up your wii...now that I'm getting used to mine I don't know how I ever lived without it.
Sary "is relaxing before the last push tomorrow"...doesn't sound like it at all! Saw the pics on FB-My cousins daughter was here and asked how old he is (she's 16)...and wanted to know if I knew where he lived-then told me "nevermind where he is...the internet makes the world small-but he's yummy";)
The website...there are costs involved but their rates are really good, I think. They do have a free option, but you get an average amount of space and you have to put up with advertising. The next package up is really minimal and they charge £8 for a domain name vaild for two years. Ive only done the trial package and the variety I was offered in terms of templates was fab.
Raph :jfor your marathon entry...looking forward to seeing a pic of you crossing the finish line.
Andyslinz Hope you start to feel better soon.
I'm tempted to give the scales a miss this week. With it being TOTM I've been munching away constantly-I'm sure it'll be a whopper gain. As it's the beginning of the month though, we are planning to do a big shop (on the internet) over the weekend so I'm hoping to be better next week. Had another bittersweet day yesterday...
DF's sister had her baby-they have called her K.E.Z.I.A (obviously without the pun ctuation) and here she is...
She looks so much like DF's brother it's not funny. She turned out to be really big-and healthy which is wonderful because DF's sister was diagnosed with Graves disease a few weeks before she found out she was pregnant.
I was weepy all day because I wanted to go home for cuddles...but I am an aunty. It was funny though as they hadn't told the family here that she was pregnant...so mum rang rang grandad (who lives in Yorkshire) to say...we know we didn't tell you she was pregnant-but you're a great grandad again...it must be a family thing coz mum and I were talking and she said to me "you know your DF never told us he had proposed to you-he waited for me to notice your ring and when I asked if you were engaged he kinda went:"oh, yeah...I did, you dont mind do you mum?"
Well, Im off to play some tennis with DF on the wii. Hope you have a lovely weekend.0 -
Beanie -that was such a touching thing to say - thank you. I guess like us all, at one stage of life or another, I have been through hard times & leant what I really want and what really matters, so simple goodnesses are just blissful: I was on my own til I was 39 and missed the chance to have a family of my own.. but so appreciate that now I have a kind man who loves me, I never ever take that for granted.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

Hey polka -just remembered to have a look at your website - your cakes look really good! And I love the bit where you write about how just cutting up the cake (that wasn't yours) made you feel - as I felt exactly the same selling cake for the NT the other week. I never had a b'day cake as a child as I didn't like cake, but discovered in recent years how much others love it and how happy it makes them. So now I make cakes for others and always have one on my birthday to share. I've never done decorated ones though -went though a phase last year oof reading about doing it, and even got a fab book, but the phase passed before I actually had a go:rotfl:
Missy - yes I still enjoy the pilates: I don't know what will happen when I finish this course though - will she run another one? Anyway, I ought to be in bed as it starts at 9a.m., but as I slept earlier I dn't feel reay o go to bed yet.
LOL raph - i bet you get lots of running in now!I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Morning all,
Up early due to nextdoor's plasterer & their chickens! (not the plasterer, the neighbour!)
Have had porridge, so starting with good intentions.
Off to lift carpets & take meter readings today, then we're truly done.
Not sure what to plan for tea, probably a salad for me, and then the others can have whatever. I've got some nice ham, so may have it with an omlette? We'll see.
Have a great Saturday, and hope it doesn't rain where you are. cloudy here, but dry so far - good because I've got washing out!
Later y'all xxOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
