Was having a great day today until i got conned into 3 hrs overtime at work. As i don't eat breakfast, I came home at 3pm absolutely ravenous. BLT sarnie and about half a packet of pringles  Knew i shouldn't have went to Tesco while i was so bl00dy hungry. Still at least i didn't finish the box (yet) :rotfl:

Oh I really shouldn't laugh, but I've been pretty good all week, honest guv!

This is a great idea Vix. If I was starting running now, this is what I'd do based on everything I've learned/read. I broke just about every rule in the book when I started :o I didn't realise you have to be so much more careful with running than with other activities.

As well as Raph's excellent advice the DFW running club thread on MSE is a good read for anyone looking to start out :) Lots of people on there who are serious about their running and know their stuff.

This is where i fall down on the exercise part. I walk 5-7 miles (when on a duty) every day carrying a large heavy bag. Joys of being a postie! So by the time i get home i don't want to exercise. Most days I only walk about 1.5 miles with my bag tho as boss prefers to keep me indoors as I'm so clumsy :rotfl:and he does like getting his coffee made for him :rotfl: I suggested to him that I would start cycling to work and he begged me not to, as he was pretty sure i wouldn't make it as far as the office (under a mile btw). I can see his point tbh, if there is a wet leaf on the ground i will slip on it, an uneven pavement i will fall over it, have chipped 2 fingers and an elbow since I started working there 2 yrs ago . So I'm grounded atm. Which basically means standing in delivery office, sorting bulk postings to 10 towns, lifting heavy mail sacks and emptying them, and making boss his coffee. Don't really know if this is enough exercise or not. I don't get out of breath walking or lifting the bags, even though walking at a very brisk pace, and it certainly feels like physical exercise lifting those mail sacks (16kgs each).

This weekend is going to be a girly weekend, starting tomorrow after work, weigh in ,sauna and swim with my sister. Leg wax tomorrow evening. Having a few drinks with my daughter on saturday, sunbeds on sunday! All men are banned! They just encourage us to buy kebabs or pizza!
