Hi all! I completely forgot to weigh in this morning so instead of weighing in bathrobe before breakfast i have weighed fully clothed after a cereal bar, not sure if there is any weight difference there but assuming they are about the same then I have lost 1lb so am quite happy with that. However, I am going "home" to my family tomorrow for the weekend and during that time whilst catching up with people i have one lunch out, 2 dinners out, and a night drinking/clubbing. That doesnt include any extra unplanned things, so heaven knows what next weeks weigh in will be like. Still, I havent seen a lot of my friends for 4 years, so I'm gonna go and have a good time and to hell with the consequences! Hope everyone is happy with their weigh in results, regardless of what they are.0

astonishly, a sts for me for me please raph. Very happy with that: I can only think the extra exercise i have had recently has offset the trojean trough-in with all things carbalicious.
Had a great walk along our sun soaked seafront today and just in. Our bed sit looks like a bomb has gone off (or a teenagers bedroom) as I couldn't find something vital before i left home this morning. Must know rectify before OH comes in...
Well done hethma -that's agreat achievment that took determination. A number of us here have a health issues so we understand the impact that can have on weight. Do join in as much as you like.
Have a great time away dmv - glad to hear you having a little break form studies.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi
Can I join the group. If so what do I need to do?
Sadly I have put on 3 stone and want it off by 26th Sept. I do hope you can help encourage me. I have tried all sorts of diets and I just feel deprived. At work we recently had a motivational speaker who said to stop eating your problem food for 2 days a week to start with then the following week 3 days etc
So today is my first day without a little piece of chocolate. I am about to go walk some of the dogs and get my 30 mins excercise.
Wish me luck

You just need to post your loss/gain/sts at a set time each week and then you will be put on the chart on a wednesday. We all find it helps to post daily though as the support is invaluable. If my calculations are right to lose 3 stone by the 26th september you would have to lose an average of 2lb a week every week until then. For me that would be hard to achieve without being very strict with myself, but for others thats normal. It is an achievable amount in theory, but why do you want it ALL off by that date? Im guessing its a special occassion so losing weight with that in mind is great, but I would suggest you dont get too hung up on the exact numbers, instead just do as well as you can.
Good luck and keep posting!0 -

Welcome Hethmar and maslowe, stick with the guys here and you'll be a big, slim loser!
Sorry I didn't post my weekly result, it was a STS, but today has been hectic. Thanks for the chart Raph - can't believe I'm SOTM with Granny! A pound and a bit from going into my next stone, and it's eluding me! grrr!
One of my sons was knocked off his bike early this morning as he was setting out on his paper round - stationary at traffic lights waiting for them to go green, and a car drove into the back of him, not noticing he was there! He's very lucky that he's reasonably OK. No broken bones, just deep flesh wounds to his foot & ankle (she parked the car on his leg, then had to reverse back off it), and lots of bruising. As you can imagine, getting a phone call from him at 7.20am from the back of an ambulance was a shock, as was the policeman who knocked on the door a few minutes later to advise us! Anyway, he's doing fine, and after a lengthy uneventful 4hrs in A&E, he got 2 plasters and a set of crutches.
As I said yesterday, we'd arranged to collect a motorbike from Colchester, which is about 120 miles from here, so we then had to go there after depositing my son back at home in front of the PC where he spent the day. We got stuck in traffic going, then I got completely lost following the silly satnav gizmo on the way back - give me an A-Z and roadsigns any day!
Food has been all over the place.
Breakfast became brunch before going out again in the car, having missed it first thing, dinner was a pit stop enroute home at a service station.
B/L - banana roll
snack - 5 oat biscuits
D - 2 pieces chicken & fries from KFC
snack - large cadbury buttons shared with BF on journey
Way OTT caloriewise, but today it wasn't really about that. I'm just grateful my boy is fine tbh. Yesterday on the way home we passed an accident that had just happened where a lad had been knocked over outside the school. We'd told all the children about it, and warned about being careful crossing roads, particularly at busy times, but you couldn't predict for a woman not seeing a bike at the traffic lights, and trying to get through them without stopping. The driver is in trouble with the police, because after she took my lad back to the paper shop he'd just come out from a few yards up the road, she left to get to work, as she said she was late! Now she'll be in trouble for leaving the scene of an accident on top of hitting my lad. Oh, and to put it all into context, what was my lad's main gripe? They cut his Vans shoes and skinny jeans off him!
Anyway, you guys just hug those you love a little bit tighter tonight, and I wouldn't say I need a shock like today to do it usually, but it really does hit the message home to you.
Polka - I've been thinking of you today, I believe it's day 18 for you? I hope you've felt OK after your fall, as that must have been a shock for you.
Victory - I hope you're feeling a bit better after yesterday's disappointment. Did your OH say anything remorseful? Re. the clothes, that is just odd! Are you near your TOTM and retaining water? How long is it until your holiday? I found that doing specific toning exercises got my waist smaller previously. I've not done them so much recently, but was thinking my waist was definitely trimmer at this same weight a couple of years ago. Otherwise, carboots it is then!
Buttons & Seren - well done on SOTW! Are you feeling less tired now Buttons?
BB - I sometimes do the same with our house when I'm busy before leaving in the morning, and it can look like we've been burgled when we come home! At the moment, the house is just a mass of bags & boxes abandoned in rooms. As I pointed out to my BF yesterday, it's not often you move house, and don't move your possessions INTO the new house! Most of mine are in a shed, and BF's house was already full of his. We have forever to sort it out now.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Sary what an absolutely horrible experience for your son. I hope he makes a good recovery. Very gentle hugs to all in the Sary household.
Thank you Raph --- SOTW!!! :j:j --- Thank you BB for lilacking me.
Great stuff Sary, Buttons and Seren. Gosh Seren, it doesn't seem that long ago we were both moaning about not being able to stay on track!
Having said that, I''ve just eaten a Freddy Frog and am about to eat at least one more, if not two. I'm just a bit fed up generally (and no, it's not hormonal :rotfl::rotfl:) and sometimes it just HAS to be chocolate.. ...:o0 -
scary: hope your son is ok, how did that daft woman not see him? shocking.
granny: Attempting the big removal tomorrow. Gunna wash the carpet and see if it will loosen up at all, maybe get a de bobler on it or somethingWell done on the weight loss!! (p.s i wouldnt mind a slice of your life please!)
Matt has saved up about 465 pounds that he was going to put towards a tv. I said a holiday would be nice and he said ok, but now i feel guilty because he's saved that money up and now we may potentially go abroad, but on the other hand i feel like i don't have the most interesting life at the moment and a good holiday to look forward to would really help me out spirt wise! All tricky. I keep saying to him to make a decision but hes only saying the holiday to make me happy i reckon
anyway, better go cos hes right next to me ha. bye all0
