    I just used the online chat facility on natwest.com and 'Claire' went to check with her card services dept and they knew nothing of it... Apparently... Maybe the bailout has put the migration on hold? All the info online seems to be from last year.

    I would presume that the switch is no longer going ahead.

    I would have thought if the switch started in June/July 2009 staff would have been informed by now.

    Plus any articals about the switch are quite dated from sept 2008 and nothing has ever been mentioned since.

    However when the HBSC switch took place staff didnt even know until they was told by its customers and im sure this may also be the case for RBS.

    I think its just going to be a case of watch this space ! :confused:

    I'm going into one of the main RBS Branches tomorrow morning, i'll ask the staff in the branch re the switch to visa debit and report back tomorrow.

    I agree - the branch staff will know nothing if its not in the public domain.

    I would suggest just waiting until its reported here, and if you want to replace Maestro then call up to report a "damaged" card.

    It will be a long drawn out process as I saw a woman pay with a Halifax Solo card earlier this year, and Bank of Scotland / Halifax migrated to Visa years ago!

    Try and encourge them to look on there internal website ;-)

    Maybe print of some articles about it and show them and see how they react.
