Whenever i use my visa debit card online , i choose "visa" if i don't see "visa debit" , i have never chosen "visa delta". Just "visa" works fine for me. My card is the "purple visa debit card".

According to you i should choose "visa delta" if i don't see the "visa debit" logo then and not just "visa" ??

No, choose Visa Debit if you have that option, otherwise simply Visa.

So basically exactly as you were doing previously.

Visa Delta is simply an old-fashioned name for Visa Debit, that's not used any more.

It's holy thread revival a bit but thought I'd report that the visa debits dont work on the m&s website (the full auth ones anyway)

Mine does. I've placed several orders with M&S and it's worked fine!

For a tenner NatWest credit cards let you put any photo you want on your card. So pop down to the Nat Hist, take some pics, and bobs your uncle!!

    What's the NatHist?

I think I will design myself a nice 'MI5 Domestic Agent Expenses Card on photoshop'

Would they do my Visa Debit Card too? Because it really is hideous.

    EDIT

I have been sent a purple card, I don't have a cheque book so what are the ACTUAL benefits of having this IMO hideous purple card over the blue one?

Does anyone have a picture of the blue one?

Is there a way of getting a blue one?

Wish I still had private banking, that new card looks bloody good.

I believe that particular poster was interested in having a dinosaur on it? I can't remember and can't be bothered to look back.

I want the black one :p I agree the purple one is hideous. I'm sure you can call them or visit your branch and ask them to replace it with a Blue card. Just tell them you don't want the cheque guarantee facility.

There's me thinking it is some card customization facility offered by NatWest
  • Same thing happened to me with my RBS Visa card. I queried it with RBS though and they later refunded me.

It is true. RBS will refund you.

However what is disturbing is the employee does so out of goodwill and said that any future charge will remain.

The issue is, under their term and regulations booklet such charge will only kick in next year feb. before feb 2010, RBS did not include this charge in their terms and regulations booklet.

Correct me if i am wrong, i thought there is a law in UK that protects consumers from charges that are not informed to them?

If there is, it is highly disturbing, as it means RBS can act above the law and charge its customers any fees it deems fit without informing them.

Wow these new cards must have some proper enhanced security.

Ive just had natwest fraud team on the blower.

Because ive used my card 4 times today within 20 mins. :o

I dropped in during the conversation with them about the cards not being accepted at some retailers. The woman said they had an email this morning stating that 9 of the merchants havent updated there systems to accept them

Sounds like the new Natwest Visa debit cards are as accepted as our new Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank Mastcard debit cards then!

The issue is with the retailers if they could be arsed to read there letters then there would not have been an issue. Im sure yorkshire bank will feel the same :D

I have just changed my bank to Natwest and have a current account with a Visa Debit Card but I can't use this at any pay at the pump petrol stations only by going into the shop and paying over the counter..

I think this defeats the object of going to a pay at the pump petrol station in the first place..

This is WELL annoying - I've just been accepted for a current plus with them, with a Visa Debit.. One of the main reasons I wanted one of these cards is so I could use it at the petrol pump! as i've got a crappy electron at the min!

Does anyone know how long I should wait before applying for an overdraft, as I've only just opened the account? Only wanting £100 or so.

Also do they credit check you for cheque books also ?

Sorry if im asking dumb questions, not had a proper current account in about 6 years.
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.
