It's a visa debit card. As others have said it will check to see if you have the funds just like your solo card does but isn't an electron card

Definately blue card to replace solo

mine becomes available after midnight of the day spent, that was the point i was trying to raise.

it doesn't do it all the time tho.

call actionline and tell them you want downgraded to a debitcard but you will lose your cheque guarentee facility with the blue card.

Oh thats very odd i havent noticed as yet.

Its strange how its at mightnight though as the systems dont update until 02.30am

RBS Group are currently looking into it with visa and the merchants as theres been other issues of a different nature.

Im surprised no ones mentioned it on MSE yet. However, some retailers are recognising the visa debit card as a visa credit card so there getting fees applied to there account if there are any applicable for that retailer.

IE some retailers will charge 2% fee if you use a credit card etc.
