Neighbour threatening my cat - advice please?

My cats are part of my family and I like them more than most people:p
!
I always think that cats are much more preferable to most humans to be honest. At least they are'nt up their own backside's like the majority of people.
I find it realy sad that some people just can't accept anything other than what they think is right in the world.Makes you realise why wars start.
I had the greatest feeling of satisfaction when a neighbour of mine(the original Mr Angry) who took great joy in harming anything that roamed in his garden had a stroke at 32.He's paralysed now, just like a cat when he broke it's back with a spade and then proceeded to brag about it.So it serves him right.
Perfect example of karma don't you think0 -
Why Are They Picking On Me?
Although a destructive neighborhood cat can be very frustrating, don't take it personally. The cat isn't acting out of spite or picking on you for some unknown reason. He's behaving naturally, just in places that are inappropriate. The solution lies in making those places undesirable so the cat will behave naturally somewhere else.
Unless they're literally starving, most cats won't eat birds, but they do enjoy the "thrill of the hunt." Cats have preyed upon birds for thousands of years and there's no foolproof way to discourage this natural instinct. Fortunately, birds have developed survival techniques over the years, and it's unusual for a cat to actually catch a healthy, mature bird.
Another natural instinct for a cat is to relieve himself in an area where he can cover his scent by burying the waste.

A cat if I am right is considered as equal as a rat in law , and as such is vermin..0 -

As you have said that your dog has every right to go out, so does a cat.
And in law cat owners cannot be punished for the cat's actions, but they are still protected by law in terms of being harmed or killed.
yes my dogs are but on my property or on a leash elsewhere , not the neighbours garden nor free roaming.
I think you will find that this is an illusion , with regard to pet v vermin law , you still dont have to report a flat cat when driving. You can poison or shoot it but not trap a cat fatally.
I helped a dog owner a few years ago with regard to sucessfully defending a destruction order on the law of cats are vermin on its property.Just like the cat and the bird it was doing what was natural but never actually hunted the cat as prey saveed it from being euthanised.
What you may be referring to is the unecceasry suffering or torture and not the extermintation of pests , cats are classed as vermin as I said already and its up to a lazy owner to disregard its safety as they see fit.
I love cats , really , if i was graced enough to have any while living in town there is no fking way I would let it out.Actually I would only have one roam if I was on a farm as they are not despite what anyone says a domesticated animal and therefore free to do what it wants without fear of a nutter killing it like vermin.Have you tried turning it off and on again?0
