Evening Yukkibear! Thanks for the PM I'll get back to you with my email address tomorrow and you can refer me.

How was work today? Hope your not too tired! My DD had her Dad upstairs for a whole hour tonight after I had read her a story, she hasn't half got him wrapped around her little finger, she's a totally Daddys Girl!

I've paid off £130 to my Next Account, so thats the start of my grand plan in action! My OH has a friend coming over tomorrow night, so I will sit and write my letters to DMP company and creditors to advise them of my intention to manage the debts myself. Also have some ebay stuff to list so will do that tomorrow as well.

We're taking our DD to a theme park tomorrow as a treat as we're both off work, but we have discount vouchers for the entrance so doing it MSE style!!

Will update tomorrow.... chow for now!

    Hello to all.:D

I have been invited by thee lovely CWC.:A

Wow a very good thread, very interesting.

Just to let you know a little more on me.......:o

My name is Di, my hubby calls me "chatterbox" or "dizzydi".....you will more than likely find out why in time with my dizzy posts...lmao:o:rotfl::rotfl:.

I am a regular on the site and have helped out mainly with reclaims.

Anyhow, as you already more or less know by now I'm married, oh hubby is known as "Scooby" :D, I have 2 sons, and the one has Autism, where I care for full time, he also has home education, not funded, as I do this myself with help from my uncle who is a private tutor, my son got bullied terrible at school and after all these years nothing resolved, he is far safer at home for now.;)

Hubby - Scooby then lost his job in Dec 2008, and hopefully he should be returning to new employment very soon, fingers crossed, cheers.......

As said already I care for my son full time, so as you can imagine, its been difficult with living on benefits and a mortgage and we have unfortunately fallen into arrears, which is currently being dealt with, this is due to the fact that we updated our mortgage by remortgaging and when updating the insurance, this did not kick in on time, so only half the mortgage was covered.

We have a few unsecured debts, and banked with lloyds TSB, so 2 unsecured loans, an overdraft almost hitting the limit and one credit card.

We have been in touch with CCCS who have given us budget advice and to pay the unsecured credit by token payments only.

We have not fell behind yet (the unsecured debt) with these as they automatically taken these out by DD, where by the time the mortgage was due there was nothing left to pay them.

LLoyds have been hard work so far, but we have been with them for at least 18 years joint and even longer on separate accounts before that.
We never had problems before, missed payments on anything, but they have not been at all understanding since hubby lost his job.
Hubby is on depression meds and myself suffer with high BP, so of course on medication for that.

We tried telling lloyds the mortgage is more important and a priority debt compared to the unsecured loans and to stop these coming out of the account so that we could pay the mortgage and their answers evertime was "no these are very important".
The mortgage is through them with Chelt & Glos, so when we go to pay them with what we can Lloyds then pester us by phone for more payment.

They have not followed the protocol so far and this one is still ongoing.......will tell you more as I hear.

(oops sorry told you I was a chatter-box) lol :o:o:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway great thread and a Big thanks to CWC for inviting me.:T:T:T

Well done on paying off some of your Next account cwc. It's such a great feeling isn;t it.

Daddy's and their daughter's eh?! My OH let our dd come downstairs on both evenings I was working over the weekend as she was "crying" because he didn;t want her to have a phobia of going to bed!!! I told him that she was wrapping him round her finger and the more he brought her downstairs the more she would cry each night as she knew what she would get. Men eh!

Work has half shattered me this weekend, and I'm in again tonight as cover (I forgot I agreed to it), but will take the time back this week and finish early each evening so I will recoup it somehow.

    Hi Di.

    Hi Di.

Thanks Yukkibear, yep it feels good to pay things off!! I think thats why the payment a day thing is better for me because I'll feel like I am actually paying things off and seeing a difference.

You're OH sounds exactly like mine!! :rotfl:Speak about Pampered Princesses and their Daddy's!! My OH is exactly the same when DD is crying, he "doesn't like to hear her upset" so will run at the drop of a hat to pick her up from bed for a cuddle - not that I like to hear her cry (!!) but I think I'm better at determining a "something is wrong" cry from a "I just want out of my bed/to get my own way" cry!!

Hope work wasn't too hectic for you this evening and make sure you get your time back, or get finished early!

Sorry about the running out of power last night Di, I didn't mean to leave you quite so abruptly!! Chatterboxes all welcome on here - I am the same once I start so I'm sure we'll get on just fine! :rotfl:You seem like such a busy person you must have loads to chat about!!

You mentioned you helped out with reclaims on the site, is this bank charges reclaims? I ask because I have started a claim again with the lovely () Lloyds TSB and have received a second letter - I'm guessing its just their way of stalling time, but if this is your area, would you mind having a look at the letter for me?

I'm off to pop some more bits and pieces on to ebay... speaking of ebay, I found a gorgeous ring listed by a jeweller's in Hatton Garden on ebay the other day which I am totally in love with. They have put one on with no start price so I put in a bit to see if there was a reserve... and there isn't!! Thinking I might send the ebay item number to my OH as a "subtle" hint!! If he doesn't want to buy me it, I think I may treat myself if I can get it for a seriously low price -don't want to spoil my good MSE behaviour! :p
