Ouch that's not good, is that due to extra fees by evershed?
    Hope you get it sorted.

Hi Yukkibear, I wouldn't have noticed but I got a statement direct from Northern Rock and it had a credit of £450 for some sort of fees (DD ones I think) Eversheds have said that maybe Northern Rock haven't given them an update yet, but I'm going to phone again on Monday or Tuesday and have the letter with me to fax so that they can update it. It would be another little help if they adjusted the balance to reflect this £450 coming off too!!

Yeah definitely, over £400 is not to be sniffed at. That would be such a help to your total without even trying.

Aww thanks for checking yukkibear, I've just been busy with studying, coursework and general housework and mummy stuff! I haven't forgotten about my debtbusting tho! Just put it on hold until after my exams in August.

On the plus side, my OH popped the question today at lunchtime!! Got a lovely sparkly engagement ring that I can't stop looking at now - bang goes the studying tonight!!

Thanks yukkibear!! I'm so excited!! I don't want to set a date until I have finished my studying and I don't graduate until next year so it will be a longish engagement!!

I'm actually quite looking forward to planning our wedding, it will be MSE style of course!!

Congratulations. How exciting, we can all help you plan your MSE wedding hee hee! Wish i had been a bit more MSE about mine. We made our own favours and my DBrother paid for the band but other than that we seemed to spend, spend, spend. This was 15 years ago though and long before the lightbulb:money:moment.

Aww thanks for the congrats scottishmummy!! I am uber-excited, but trying not to get toooo carried away just now until I finish my studying. I'd like to take my time and organise it too, so that I can have fun... and so that my sister and I can spend Saturday afternoon trying on squillions of wedding dresses of course!!

I feel like I have completely abandoned my MSE Quest for Debt Freedom just now, but I promise its just because I have been studying!! I have my last exam for this semester on the 10th of August, so once that is over, I will be back at the debt with a vengance!! Going to aim for £500 in August to pay towards the NR loan, but that might be a bit adverturous.... we'll see!

I have also decided to keep my MSE momentum up that I will have a series of NSD's this week, so have bought baked potatoes and veggies to make soup for lunches. I will update my diary with my status on that one...

Anyway, off to do my stick on nails (cheaper than gel ones at a salon ) and look at my engagement ring again :rotfl:

    Talk to you all soon!

Just a quick update.. i've paid my creditor the monthly minimums today so that should be them happy for the time being!! I have also managed a NSD because I've been working from home. Have packed lunch foods to take with me to work for this week so should be on track for another NSD tomorrow!

Going to go and check Quidco before tea to see if my money from Sky has been paid yet, then that will be a good start towards my £500 target for August for paying towards the NR Loan.
