Hello Di! How are you today? I'm at work, and not feeling very motivated I have to say!

Not much happening with me at the moment, just waiting to hear from my creditors regarding the letters I sent them and also the council regarding the parking ticket - that completely p*ssed me off I have to say! There was me going to a free night out and thought I'd take the car so I wouldn't have any taxi fares and I'd have been cheaper taking taxi's if I do have to pay the fine! Never mind, such is life I suppose!

I'm desperate to go back out to that garden centre you know!! I need to hang fire tho, because I have my car insurance coming off on 1st June and this is my first month with the new company so I need to wait until I see exactly how much will come off. My LAST DMP payment to this awful company is also out on the 1st so once they are off I may treat myself to some nice pansies and perhaps a sunflower or two!

I saw this cool debt tracker thingy on RunMichelleRun's diary and quite fancied one for myself so here it is:

    Hope that worked! xxx

    Hello :hello:
Thank you for posting on my diary. I LOVE this ticker thing. Makes debt look less daunting when you see how much you've paid off already.

I shall have a read through your diary now and, of course, I've subscribed :D

    Good luck!

Edit: p.s. your diary has inspired me tonight. I have listed two items on ebay and done some studying for an exam I'm taking in July. It's been a productive evening. Thank you!

I'm amazed at how much you get done with a family, job and degree to study for. Puts me to shame.

    Hi Folks!!

Just a quick post, as I'm just having a little lunch break at work! I've not heard anything back about the parking ticket yet, but fingers crossed - tomorrow will be 7 days since I got it so technically I only have 7 more days at the cheaper rate if they don't respond to my letter. Speaking of letters, my DMP fee paying company have obviously received my letter because I've had a load of phone calls, none of which I have taken because I stated in the letter I will only communicate with them in WRITING, they don't seem to get it!

Yukkibear, I'm hoping to have the next account gone in the next few days!! Once its clear I'll put in my sig how many days its taken to clear and hopefully this will motivate me to get rid of the credit card in a similar time period.... then its on to the big debts!! :o

Thanks for subscribing RunMichelleRun, its always nice to know people are reading and following progress - good for motivation! I really like the ticker thingy too, great to track your progress!

I'm really glad my diary has inspired you, I've read so many diaries and got sooooo much inspiration and ideas, its nice to hear that I've given that to someone else. :A

I'm not sure how I get done the things I need to, it just seems to manage to happen!! My house is never quite as tidy as I'd like, and there's always ironing lying waiting to be done, but I'm sure the mess and the ironing will all still be there when I finally fininsh my degree and have a bit more spare time!!

Right... back to work now, I've got loads to do this afternoon but will defo be back on later... ta ta for now!

Evening All! Just popped on while I stick some more items on ebay... I've made a grand total of £71.54 in the last 30 days so I'm really quite pleased with that!! :j

It has motivated me to start listing some of my daughters baby clothes, as I have BOXES of it up the loft.... so if you're looking for baby girl clothes, drop me a line and I'll give you my ebay ID (shameless plug!!)

Hope you've all had a nice day

Go for it listing your baby clothes, esp branded names. I need to get some ebay motivation this weekend. I keep just relisting stuff which is fine when it eventually sells but I still have so much tat to clear from my house lol. Sometimes I feel as though I'm drowning under the clutter in my house and I just seem to move it from room to room.
We have ALL dd's toys in the lounge from doing her bedroom and there's not very much floor space. I seriously need to have a good clear through those tonight and tomorrow.

Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Hello Yukkibear! I've got a few watchers already with the baby clothes, so I'm quite pleased!! I've relisted a few CD's as well as they do actually seem to be selling, which is good. I'm only putting them on at 99p so even if they sell at that, its more that I'd get from music magpie!

How is the decorating going? My DD is with my parents for the weekend to let us get some chores done, so I've now finally got my garden into shape!! Spent most of the day in the garden so going to crack on and get some tidying up done inside after the BGT final - I'm a nightbird so I'll have my second wind by then!!

What have you been up to this weekend, were you working?

    CwC :)

    :hello:

    Morning People!

Just a wee update to my diary.... I've now heard back from 3 out of 4 of my creditors regarding me taking back control of my accounts with them. :j They are all happy for me to take the driving seat and have provided me with bank details so that I can pay them direct!! I have these set up already for June payments and have cancelled my DD for the DMP company. The DMP company don't seem to understand the term "I respectfully request you communicate with me in writing" as they have continually phoned me since receiving my letter... although I haven't taken the calls, if they want to write to me thats fine, but I am not getting into conversations on the phone with any of their agents.

Thats about all for now! Sold a few more items on ebay so thats always good too - am expecting money in my bank tomorrow or Wednesday which would allow me to get rid of the next account completely - so that would be mini-target one complete!!

Woohoo that's great news about paying off the next accoun this week. Well done.

We've been enjoying the sunshine here. DD keeps going from pool to grass to pool etc lol. Just gave her a bath and she thought she could go back in the pool! Think not lol.

Nothing much is happening on my paying off front this week as of yet, hoping for some new ideas soon. Trouble is I keep thinking of things I want to achieve and they're all massive lol, need to do one thing at a time.
  • Well done on almost getting rid of your first mini target already!

Its been such a fabby day, great to get the wee ones out in the sunshine!! DD and I were out all afternoon in the garden, it was really nice. Thats cute your DD thinking she was getting back in the pool, lol! I had uni tonight but my OH said that our daughter fell asleep at the table tonight, straight to bed after tea - the fresh air must have tired her out, poor wee toot!

I get lulls like that too, running out of ideas for paying things off etc. Its easy to let your mind run away with you when your thinking of things that you want to acheive!! Small / mini targets... its the way forward! ;)

    Thanks guys!! :j

I think if I break it down into mini-targets I won't get so bogged down!

I've just realised that we're now into June, so it must only be around 3 weeks until the test case for the bank charges, that would blitz around 3 of my 5 mini targets if the banks have to cough up! Will keep my fingers crossed on that one. I also have my fee's to reclaim for my course which I can do in August, so that will take care of a bit of a mini-target... or maybe even a whole one by then!

Anyway, best get to bed, I didn't realise it was quarter to midnight, I'll be turning into a pumpkin soon!

    Nyt Nyt! xxx

Well done on the ebaying, I just can't get out of the bit and get started. I like the idea of mini-targets but for me they would be paperwork and decluttering ones as there is no spare money till I build up the car repair and emergency funds which both took a hammering last month.
