Problem with Hermes Delivery Services

Why did you leave it two days, before a wedding, to order a suit?
Hermes does have the contact details for the courier (I believe it is part of the service agreement they have with the courier), I would suggest you question the service you are getting from British Home Stores.
In response to your message, I very much have questions over how poor BHS have been in the whole mess, but you can't keep dismissing everything with this overwhelming evidence of poor service from Hermes/Hermes couriers.0 -
Firstly I would like to make clear I respect everyones opinion equally. But Flyboy152, is there a particular reason you are replying to everones complaints? Do you work for Hermes? Also what relevence is it when I choose to order a suit? Furthermore I am aware it was 2 days before the wedding, hence using next day delivery.

The worst was when I had a £900 tv wrecked by UPS which cost me £80 to send INSURED and it was 2 weeks old, in original box and wrapping with extra towels, sheets, even 2 duvets over it.
It arrived with black bags around it and when taking box out noticed it had dents in packaging and the screen was smashed inside it, was told had to be sent to the insurance department for testing and package check and they rejected my insurance claim saying it wasnt packaged well enough and to make matters worse when I recieved it back from testing the tv and box was smashed utterly in half to the point the plasma screens plastic shell was shattered.
When I made a higher complaint I was told that they dont insure ANYTHING!
The best courier was a myhermes person who delivered by car, I text them on a Saturdayand they actually redelivered Sunday from their car and rang me when they were around corner!
dekaspace it's up to you to protect yourself, not for couriers to ensure it's you, we don't ask for photo ID(it's not required by clients). How do you know this happened
"I had one give a £500 pc to someone that wasnt me(basically went "are you mr X" to someone who was walking up to the door of my shared house of 20 rooms who of course said yes,"
I know for sure a courier wouldn't tell you this nor would the delivery company give you that info.
I would definitely not as a MyHermes person(courier) give that unpaid service to deliver on a Sunday after being texted on a Saturday and ring YOU when I'm round the corner(all my not in Sats)wait until Monday.
Your lucky make the most of it obviously a new courier, I'm sorry that new couriers feel they need to do this £10+ service for 45p - £2, I get annoyed with customers who expect more than they pay for(I pay extra for my deliveries because I work so unavailable for normal free or cheap cost).
It maybe the way for you to go dekaspace, booking a specific timed service at a cost to you, to ensure your around to ensure you personally sign, it could save you the huge losses you mentioned.0 -
I ordered a coat from La Redoute on 6th Oct. On 17 Oct it finally reached Hermes, so I thought ok, i should get it in a few days max. On 24th Oct I still didn’t have it so I rang La Redoute at 11am to chase it up. I was told that the courier said it had been left behind the side gate earlier that day. Odd seeing as I was at home, heard no knocks/doorbell ringing, and there was no card left, AND surprise surprise, nothing behind the gate!
I rang up to complain and I was told they would have to investigate and it would take 28 days before i would get a refund, but they kindly asked whether I would like a replacement coat (which I would have to pay for before i receive my refund for the missing one!) I politely declined(!!)
Anyway at about 7:30pm the same day I get a knock at the door...my coat mysteriously arrived! The funny thing is it wasn’t the normal Hermes lady, (the one that left my Next order in the bin - see my previous post) but a man who I’ve never seen before. I suspect she sent her old man to deliver it after she got busted for lying about delivering it in the first place!
After that, I decided to pay extra for next day delivery on anything i ordered over the internet as i believed this would be more reliable. Sighhhh how wrong I was. Placed an order with New Look on Wednesday and paid for next day delivery. Its Saturday and i still haven't got my order, so i just went online to track it. Imagine my dismay when I realised it was with HermesNew Look have not been particularly helpful (although i suspect this is because Hermes don't provide particularly useful tracking information) They just said it might come today or tomorrow. Great service.

How can you be certain that New Look ordered the service you paid for from Hermes? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
