Problem with Hermes Delivery Services

I placed an order with Next, arranged for delivery for Saturday, all confirmed. When I got the confirmation email it stated that HERMES was the courier:mad:

I waited in, no order arrived, says that my order is with courier for delivery, so called Next "oh they say, sorry about that, we will check and find out what is going on and call you back" No call back, so call Next again this morning. I explained that I was not happy with them using HERMES and that my order has not arrived, I have referred them to this site and where to find all the complaints about HERMES. The person who I spoke to this morning said that they ARE EFFICIENT AND HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM and I should get my order sometime next week:rotfl:

I specified a Saturday delivery as I am not in during the week and if I am not happy with goods I can then take them back over the weekend to a shop. A weekday delivery is not convenient for me!

Why do online companies use these jokers? I am not a happy bunny at the moment!!

All I can say is DON'T USE HERMES!! I know it's difficult when the company you're ordering from uses them, but they are utterly useless.

Twice now I have ordered goods to be delivered by them. After a few days I have checked the tracking site to see where the goods are and guess what? It said on both occasions the goods were delivered. Well where to?? It sure wasn't my address.

I receive courier deliveries daily (I work from home) and never once has a courier failed to deliver to the right address - except for Hermes.

I now check with companies what courier they use and if it is Hermes, my business goes elsewhere.

You have been warned!!

i currently have a parcel travelling around derbyshire, being shown the sights by a kindly hermes courier, it was supposed to been delivered last week, but, apparently the sat-nav in the car keeps taking the driver to the wrong address, so tomorrow (monday) my parcel will arrive at the wrong place again, for the 3rd time.
i rang hermes cs and gave them a contact no for my customer but was told that the courier will not ring it because the call will cost more than he will get for delivery of the package, and i cannot have the couriers mobile no, so i expect to get the package back some time not too soon.

The biggest problem with Hermes is that the parcel is invariably trashed when received. We had a courier living in our road and used to watch the big bags being thrown off the truck and dragged up the drive, worse than being handled by the RM football team. With my courier you see her kids sitting in / on the parcels on the way to school.

I too have had trouble with this company this week.
My fiancee ordered a dress Monday. We eagerly awaited delivery as she was meant to be going out tonight wearing this dress.
We checked the tracking number and it displayed that it had been picked up by the courier Thursday morning early hours.
Great we thought.
Thursday we waited, nothing.
Yesterday we waited. Nothing.
So eagerly awaiting today hoping the dress would come it hadn't shown up.
So I called hermes up themselves. Dorothy Perkins have a contract with them that hermes tell the customer to get in touch with Dorothy Perkins.
So I call Dorothy Perkins, wait 20 minutes in a queue only to be told that Dorothy Perkins only correspond with Hermes by emai and it'll take upto 24 hours. She said i'll more than likely hear back off them by Monday.
Great! Just what I needed.
To sum it up the courier,fella in the van who's meant to of delivered this parcel by now, must have it and ahve kept it in his van for the past two days.
I do hope that a lot of Dorothy Perkins' customers don't shop there anymore once they have witnessed the incompetancy that they've shown.

I know I might not be popular with my view but I ordered Hermes to collect a coat from me and to get it to my buyer before tonight.
They arrived Monday as arranged and she got the parcel Thursday so I am more then happy for £4.10

Their site does say up to 5 working days so I was not really expecting it to get there early. The staff were very polite and I had no issues at all.

Not saying that the bad stuff does not happen but they clearly do get somethings right
