I think this Swine Flu thing is getting out of hand; we have antibacterial gel dispensers on the walls now and the cleaners have to disinfect all lightswitches and door handles every day to prevent 'spread of infection'... my boss even said that her boss has sent out a 'Disaster Recovery Plan' detailing what to do in case loads of people get Swine Flu and die! Talk about going overboard!
I am so glad that someone else thinks this! It is a new strain of flu allegedly, but then we get them every year. that is why you always need a new flu jab each winter. Many of the people that have died either died of the complications or because they couldn't access health care not from the flu. Just another thing the newspapers are hyping up to try and distract us from the recession and the carp government........
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Morning!
Dinah - Hope your head is a bit better! And glad you're better too Birdie!
Nice to see you survived all the MS shops NIM! It'll all be worth it when you've got your house deposit all saved up and ready to go.
5% is great Dinah! You'll be back up to 12% in no time!
Had a very spendy day yesterday though. Needed new concealer and decided I 'mareswell' get the top penny stuff rather than the £4 things that never really work! Bought my sisters last birthday presents. Then lunch ect ect! Having a 'at home' day, blitzing my room, watching movies and generally not spending anything.
Now, off to look at my bank balance through my fingers.
ETA: Super creepness! In my dream last night I was checking my bank account online (after I'd been trying to mentally do the maths all day) just logged on and it's the exact amount it was in my dream. Weird!0 -
morning cinny ooooo I like a good creepy dream sounds like someone is trying to tell you your on top of your finance management more than you think or be watchful of other dreams showing amounts u may get an influx of cash. If only so bedroom decorated for less than 50 quid we painted the bed that looks crap so looks like we are saving for a new bed but that's ok I guess I'm very very happy x xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Morning All
Hope you're feeling a bit better today Dinah? Well, the OH comes back to the fold today after his weekend of riotousness (actually, there were no riots but it sounds roughie toughie Yorkshire!). They all had a good time, apparently and no arrests were made! Good job he's back though cos, like you Cinny, I had a spendy day yesterday too. Mind you, it was useful stuff like new pillows, the webcam (already worth the money cos I spent 37 mins talking to my friend in the US for nothing!), food for the week and a little bunny thing to put on the doorstep and says 'Welcome' on it. I needed it cos I want to practice the kerbside appeal for next year when we sell the house (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!).
I'm hoping that this PPI will move quickly now the Ombudsman's involved so that would be about £700 going into my account when they amend the figures. Perhaps I'd better not hold my breath, though!
Anyway, have a good day everyone xxxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Head seems to be finally ache free now, although staying up so late has got me in really bad shape today. I had ME when I was 17 through to about 20 quite badly, unable to open door handles weak, sleeping 23 hours a day and so on at the worst points. While its 95% gone now, I still get quite bad if my sleep patterns are severly tampered with, so today my hands are all shaky and pathetic and I don't have the dexterity to hold a pencil. I'm gutted as Sundays are meant to be my painting days.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That sounds horrible Dinah, you should snuggle up in bed, watch a fantastically cheesey afternoon movie and get your energy back. Hope you're feeling better soon! (Glad to hear the headache has gone too)
The bunny sounds cute Pilchard! Most of my spending was due to being let loose in boots, for 45 minutes, while they tested OHs eyes. Bad move and I told him off (while shaking my carrier bags) for doing it to me.
Happy, I'll keep a dream eye out for any flushes of money! Was just odd as the balance was to the penny (even odder that I'd remember it) Happy the decorating went well!
Did lots of baking this afternoon, did a batch of pizza dough for freezing, made triple chocolate cookies, galaxy cupcakes and this odd oaty-spice cake (topping is demera sugar with lemon juice made into a paste) quite proud of myself as they're all new recipes and turned out quite well! Not managed to blitz my room but it was dusted and hoovered the other day so can wait another day! Just about to hit the sofa and watch Skellig.
Have a nice end-of-weekend! Being yelled at to 'stick the kettle on' so I best get moving.0 -
