Eek don't blame you for being edgy Dinah, hope all goes well at the meeting! Fingers crossed for the car too! I was pleased my poking with a pin strategy fixed my windscreen washers yesterday, according to the Haynes manual you have to take the front wheel off and rear light out to get to the main bit of them if that's what's the problem!
Birdie much as I love cake, I think four in a week might be a bit much! Could you take in something light and lemony or merigue-y for people? What are your birthday plans for the weekend?
Cinny I'm the same, worked like a mad woman last week and now it's all gone quiet. I'm researching ParisI've come up with a budget of E120 for food and drink alone!! Sounds scary but I don't want to underestimate, and knowing our penchant for stopping for a cuppa tea...

I've just remembered I'm going to Aerial Extreme on Saturday so I'll pretend that's my birthday party! LOL!
Tete, my Mum's friend has just returned from Paris and she said that 4 of them went to a hotel for hot chocolate (no cakes or anything) and it cost £40! I think you definitely want to overestimate your budget!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Afternoon all! Is your hotel B&B Tete? You'll have to eat loads at breakfast and make some ham and cheese croissants to smuggle out with you! Not that I've ever done that...
I might have to go and have a very early lunch as all this talk of food, and especially cake, is making me hungry!
Glad you're feeling better today, Dinah, hope the team meeting goes well!
Hope everyone else is having a 'tolerable' Monday - I thought that 'good' would be pushing it slightlyLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
It was an extra E12 per person per night for breakfast and as OH doesn't eat breakfast I thought it would be cheaper to grab a coffee and pain au chocolat for E5 or so in a cafe. Hadn't thought of putting it all in my bag for the duration of the day though!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It's the cost of the food and drink once I'm there that put me off booking PAris for our anniversary, everytime we go to Ireland I nearly cry at how much a sandwich and a drink costs, however there should be more choice and therefore more scope to do it inexpensively in Paris. If you're planning on having one sit down meal a day though I'd think e120 is a pretty low budget, would be suprised if you could do evening meals for under e50 unless you go to Mc Donalds!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

WHAT?! There's no way I'm spending E50 on evening meals, I'm sure we'll be able to find something cheaper than that! (All prices I'm quoting are per person btw not both together, we have separate finances. Does that make my budget seem a bit better?!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Blimey, when did food start costing so much?! When I went to France last year I remember the food being so cheap, but then I went to a market town so I guess it's like compairing Retford cafe prices to London ones!
Lost all the buzz I had this morning! I think the Postie stole it, he looks the sort.0 -
I think Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world Cinny! I've been a few times to smaller coast towns in France and everything was dirt cheap, but Paris is a totally different story! I knew a girl who lived there for a year and she learnt to like drinking black coffee because it was all she could afford from cafes!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. God I hate scary long finger nail lady from my office! She's such a cow (only thing that will get past swear filters!), I'm actually shaking I'm that wound up by her! She thinks she's bloomin' queen of everything and if anyone makes one little error she'll lord it over them, on Friday I forgot to mark some half-finished paperwork 'correctly' ie her way and instead of giving it back to me or asking what it meant she made a big deal about wasting ages checking it all to see what I'd done and how maybe she should sit with me to show me how it should be done! I do all I can to be nice and helpful when she needs help or cocks up doing 'my' jobs, but it seems I can do no right when I'm doing 'her' work! Argh, what a horrible woman!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
