Ooh, ooh, can you find a week in Ibiza 10th Julyish for less than £300 that's NOT in San Antonio and you don't have to cross the road for the pool? Been searching all afternoon, think I might be a bit early. Got my eye on Santa Eulalia in particular ...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Lol sounds like you're a pickier customer than Birdie! Travel.co.uk was my only secret weapon, but its a good screenscraper so try there for your Ibiza break. This the end of Ibiza that is all pretty not the end with vomitting clubbers?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Exactly, though I fear we'll have to share a plane with them which will be nice! Don't think I've checked that website, will have a little look, thanks!
ETA - Nope, only thing coming up at less than £300 is the one where you have to use another hotel's pool... Hope we're not risking it by leaving it too late. I guess we'll go anywhere really though. Right I'm off lasses xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
C'mon Birdie, give me a real challenge! Check your PMs for a link to over 20 holidays departing from the North East, 3* Zante for £160 for a week anyone?!

Evening everyone
Been catching up on the thread which has taken aaaaggggeeeesss - well worth it though. Glad you had a good meet at the weekend and great looking at pics. I've also been looking at your pics on FB Dinah - looks nice and warm!
I'm still getting annoyed with Northern Rock about that PPI. They sent me a letter over a week ago telling me they'd be sending out a credit agreement abd then crediting the money to me but I've heard nothing. Since I agreed the amount, though, they've taken another 2 full payments out of my bank account so they owe me more than was initially agreed. I've now written to the Financial Ombudsman to see if they can get things moving. I'll keep you posted.
At the moment I'm still working my notice at work (another 2.5 months cos they're holding me to the full 3 months despite a girl leaving last week who they only made work 6 weeks ). They are also being complete numpties so it's going to be a very long notice period!
I've decided that I really need to sort the finances out especially because my new/old job is less money (but also costing less in petrol and 14 miles closer to home) but I've just been approved with extra money on my mortgage because I desperately need a new kitchen and other house improvements. The kitchen's very circa 70's and falling apart. I'm more of a domestic godhelpus than a domestic goddess but my OH likes cooking and we eventually want to get our own house (this one's mine)so need to make it sellable. It turns out that my fixed rate has ended and even with the extra money I'll be paying £10 a month less than I have been for the past 5 years. I want to get sorted so that I can start over paying it next year (I can't overpay for one year without being charged). I really need to get extra MS and more bingoport to get Amazon vouchers as well as doing my clicks and scratch cards.
Anyway, going to stop warbling on now xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
I have just come back from shopping. i got a new dress, only 8 pounds from h & m, nice summary light dress to wear in evenings. OH got some swim shorts, a short sleeved shirt and some plimsoles. Got toiletries as well, getting all excited now!0

Afraid best I can find is £712 for 3* 14 nights in Dominican Republic from London Gatwick, it is all inclusive though.
Got another £59 through from MS today, we're still lagging on the £20 a day challenge, but not quite so badly!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Jealous of all your holiday talk. And holiday shopping talk! All I have to get for my holiday is wait for it.... miniature toothpaste, and a tea dress if I'm lucky.
Take a Break bingo seem to be onto our free scratchies, they're putting my 10ps into a bonus fund now. Thankfully I've just reached pay out so the last months work hasn't been completely wasted.
Pilchard, Northern Rock seem right pains! Hope it all gets settled for you soon though. That's great about your mortgage though, have fun picking out the new kitchen! Any ideas what kind of thing you want?0 -
Good morning
Pilchard, loved your Domestic Godhelpus - I think I'm one too! And I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they can make you work that notice period legally ... I'm sure they can't dock you any pay because they'd be breaking the law if they didn't pay you for what you'd worked, you'd possibly only lose out on holidays owing but then you could take them before you leave? 3 months seems like a really long notice unless you're like the MD or something? Might be worth checking out on the employment boards ...
Birdie you can often get £500-600 all inclusives in the Caribbean in the travel agent windows ... or are you wanting to get booked up so you can start getting excited?
When's your holiday again Cinny? And is it Kent? You cancelled the caravan with OH's family didn't you?
I'm off to check my bank account, wish me luck everyone:o:o

The directors of our council who are being made redundant only have to work 2 months so 3 seems extreme!
Good luck with the bank account Tete.
Please tell me they haven't converted existing funds in there into bonuses Cinny? I'll cry! We have £45 between NIMs account and mine in TAB, just never got around to sending them the copy of the passports. Stupid Dinah.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
