Oh no, I've just thought though, what does the unsuccessful long-standing employee make of it? Poor bloke!

Don't worry about him - they both got a job out of it! There was a second empty post at the same level so the other guy is starting this Monday and NIM the monday after.

That's great news, well done NIM! And it's all worked out perfectly...

Hola Tete! I'm knee-deep in Spanish this morning but thinking it might be time to take a chocolate break :) Sorry to hear your good luck didn't extend to today! My car needs a good wash too, the seagulls apparently targeted it at the weekend and one side is absolutely covered in poop. Thankfully it's the passenger side so I've been blissfully oblivious until now!

Blimey, I've just been catching up on last night's posts and NIM revealing his dark side! Do you think he's scared Cinny off?! ;)

Lol at your headbutting war Birdie! I'm beginning to think we don't grow out of these things - bed is the safest place for playfighting even though ours usually end with me squealing 'but I'm just a poor defenceless girl!' if it gets tough...

Unforunately I'm knee deep in numeros and budget projections this morning and my head hurts :(

I always try to push OH out of bed for fun but he's faaar to strong for me and can hold me wrists in one hand whilst flicking the TV nonchalantly with the other, while I kick and scream.

It is so annoying having an OH stronger than you isn't it? I was desperately trying to prise OH's thumb and finger apart last night to release my ear plug that he had knicked and couldn't do it! How does he have such strong fingers?! Fortunately I'm a little sister so I'm quite good at the old 'defensive ball' manouver that he can't break or move when he wants to throw me about, I didn't think I'd be relying on that move at my age though!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I never really think of myself as weak as I'm quite big really for a girl, but OH always says "Squeeze my hand as hard as you can" (for fun  ) and I always end up hurting myself more than him, he just laughs at me :o

Confused me more than anything. All the way into town this morning I was thinking 'How could money save me?!' Then I just started thinking of the Money and I (we go together like apple and pie) song from the Tom and Jerry movie so didn't come to any real conclusion.

Well done to Nim for getting the job!! (I know, I'm late with this one) I agree, 9-5 (or 7 - 12:30 in my case) jobs are great.

As for annoyingly strong OHs, mine is still loving his 'bring on the wall' game. My Dad gets him back for me though by randomly challenging him to a wrestle. Quite worrying to turn around and see your Dad and OH sprawled on the floor yelling at each other... I need therapy for those images.

Haha sounds like the Dr Pepper advert Cinny! I don't have a clue what NIM was on about either, I had to have the job thing spelled out to me :S

ETA - Wow, can you believe there're 600 posts on the new thread already?!
