Very close Tete, it is zante we are going to.

We fly on Sunday morning very early, have to leave for the airport at about half 1 am.

Have got all my clotehs but OH wants to buy a few bits and we need to get money and also toiletries etc. I expect i will probably get tempted to buy an item of clothing hehe

The dominican sounds lovely Birdie! Will be worth the wait

Ooh larvely! Well, if reports are to be believed then we're heading for a nice summer here so you'll have something to enjoy - nothing worse than going away in summer only to miss the two decent weeks of weather we have all year!

Have you been to Zante before Wendz? I went to Kos last year for a very MSE £202 for a week B&B and it was loads of fun. Sun, sea and no stress - just what the doctor ordered!

Poddle, that's exactly what we want this year £200ish for a no-frills week in the sun in July, bit early to be looking for late deals yet though.

I hope it is a good summer, I need some sunshine! I've still got a week booked off work in June so I hope it'll be a good weather week! We may even make it to Filey! Oooh! Will check out the Barcelo, thanks Tete!

OH nearly ran (well, crutched quickly) into the travel agents in an excited bundle the other day because he saw a deal for Menorca for £107, but turns out it was only flights so he hobbled away dejected! Still on the lookout for a great sub-£200 holiday deal!

Ooh, Menorca would be my second choice actually (after Ibiza), it looks lovely, how disappointing for your OH!! He must be on the mend though if he's hobbling quickly, that's about the best I can manage on a normal day!

He's doing OK, he took his first unaided steps last night, I was in front of him with my arms ready to catch him in case he fell, like a baby! He said his leg was hurting this morning though so he may have overdone it, which sounds typical for him! I'm sure if he was going on holiday he'd hobble wherever he had to go in record time, there's no physical limit to that boy's excitement levels!

Haven't been to Zante before but I went to Crete last year. All i want is to do is have a nice quiet break where i can lie in suna dn read etc. Weather is looking nice over there, has been raining last few weeks but is really nice and sunny from tomorrow.
