LOL @ Dinah, I've saved NIM's number in my phone under his real name but I'll not have a clue who that is when I look later, maybe should change it to NIM! I'm trying to look busy so I don't have to go back to sit with scary long nail woman, I fear I'll be dragged over there soon thoughOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. I've gone with a first name screename instead of surname combo... I admit it's gotten to the point where I keep refering to OH as NIM in regular real life conversations.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I refer to my OH in my head as OH now, like I say 'Oh Aitch' instead of his name! How mad!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Oh I have some news about that money stuff. Went to open my Barclays 2009-2010 Golden ISA, and was offered a basic current account too, which I took as I can use it as my MB account so it is seperate from all the other monies and I don't look like a compulsive gambler! Also means I can use online banking with them under the secure method than the ropey older one. However without a doubt what sold it to me was that it is an Electron card - NIM and I have been after one of these for ages! Basically when we buy Ryanair flights now there is a £5 per person per flight card charge, but this is gone using an electron, so we'll save £20 every 6-8 weeks which I am thrilled to bits about, as this is more than we'd get as interest on any account anywhere given we only usually have 600-200 in the account at once! Doing a happy dance right now:j.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Anyone have a Tesco saver? I need to send them a cheque but I don't know where to as I lost the letter, so also don't know my account details, and can't find a phone number online!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

This is only my second current account, and it is advised that those doing MB might want to open a second current account so their bank doesn't think they're a bit ropey! Shhhh there is method to my madness of hundreds of bank accounts. Our car account has £255 in it at the moment, just seeing that makes me feel reassured that things won't suprise us if a car were to break down or both insurances come at once (this year will come a month apart, on the run up to Christmas, at the same time as my road tax - not ideal!). NIM was getting all excited about us getting a Honda Insight electric car last night, 69mpg, and only £15 road tax! However I pointed out this wasn't really moneysaving since it costs £15k! He gets through so much more petrol than me, despite his car being less powerful and him having a shorter commute each day. Think it's cos his car is older and more to the point he drives like he's entering the Teesside-Hetton rally - I'm sure each morning he gets into the car trying to beat yesterdays commute 'record'.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's a really good idea having a separate account for car stuff. We have to have permits where we live now and they both come up for renewal at exactly the same time which means we generally can only afford to get 3 month permits, instead of an annual one which would be cheaper and less hassle. OH's car runs on LPG which is about half the price of petrol and more green but for some reason it's not categorised the same way as hybrid cars so unfortunately doesn't get a cheap permit. boo!
We do have a separate credit card for petrol though - it's cashback and with a Shell loyalty card as well we save quite a bit.
Have you started the MB yet Dinah or still rereading the mound of paperwork?!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
