Yes, definitely worth trying to claim it back! TBH I was convinced that I didn't have PPI on my loan - it was only when I phoned to take a payment break due to redundancy that they said "oh you have insurance, you might be able to claim". Anyways read what Martin says on the matter - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance - all the letter templates and stuff are in there. Good luck!

How did NIM's interview go? I hope his farm wages get sorted too or he might be on the news ranting about that in his bobbly jumper!

    :rotfl:

Congrats on that money Happy, it really is worth looking into these things isn't it? Is PPI just on credit cards and loans? How do you know if you're paying it, is it on the statements? I wouldn't mind a grand of my own but don't think I've ever paid it.

Please for you and your £118 too Poddle, I can imagine it's been very welcome! Yes, let's all bake!!!

Hark, is that the sound of tea being ready I hear ...?

Yes tete, look on your statements and if your paying ppi it will come up as insurance per £100 or something like that. Definatly check, because OH has it on his credit card even though he never agreed to it, it was only noticed when he told me to start handling his finances.

Yay OH just text me to tell me he has been promoted again :j, he gets 20p extra an hour - it all helps!!! And he is not eligible for management bonuses and incentives! :D

Also just found out that he will be getting an extra £40 in his pay tomorrow as a bonus :j

Feeling really positive about this whole debt busting thing at the moment

You'll get there Flower, thats great news about your OH promotion too!

Good news for my OH too, he'll be moving back to his first branch, where he really loved working, in May. So it cuts out all the crazy petrol costs and parking fees. Plus he's finally getting his training so he's heading in the way of a payrise too!

How did the interview go NIM?

Birdie - He just calls him that Martin fella now, Mark once or twice too. No more Martin Sheen!

I best hit the hay, have a nice night (or what's left of it) everyone.

Hoorah for good news everyone! Hopefully more good news from the NIM camp to make it three???

I'll have a little look Flower for the PPI thing but I think I would've noticed it already to be honest.

My lemon cakes were a disaster, completely threatened to take over the kitchen a la The Blob. I don't know how, I followed the recipe to the letter and made the number of cakes it said ... I feel like a failure as a woman!! And OH is giving me no sympathy, calling me a big baby for throwing them in the bin, he's just annoyed because he won't be getting a cake tomorrow.

Oh, and I bought a bar of Galaxy earlier for a book code and I've gone and picked up a non-promotional pack :( I'm off to my bed for a good hump as Lara would say!

I really don't think you should encourage the use of such an ambiguous phrase!

Well done to all the OHs!
