Some moron hit my car aswell last night - went to get my car after work and someone who clearly cant park to save their life has taken a liking to the back end of the car - and obviously left no insurance details!!! Grrr!!!!

Really sorry about your car Flower.
Great news on the payrise HTGDF.
So, GAP released some new jobs this afternoon. And I grabbed a few for NIM.... I think he might eat me alive when he sees how many! 6 bookies, 6 travel agents, and 5 phone shops I think it was. He's lucky gap put a limit on how many jobs you can do in one month or he'd be in a bundle more bookies is all I can say.
Spent all day drawing, have a huge picture going now, a bit of a vintage woman with curls and a long pearl necklace, a mini 40s hat with a rose and mini-veil, think I was inspired by Birdie's lovely retro look yesterday.
I have been keeping a secret from NIM only Birdie was aware of, and last night I cracked and told him as I didn't like having a secret even when it was for a good reason. I've been squirelling away bits of money, payment a day and so on just in case he did decide to pop the question. I'm very aware most women's parents pay, and mine could never afford to, so I wanted to do this to take some pressure off if he ever decided to ask. He's kind of hinted at timescales in the past, I've managed to save up £136 over the last 48 days, so I thought I would have at least £1200-£1600 by the time he asked, which while obviously not enough, would pay for a bit of something at least. He wasn't mad, or scared, a bit bemused I guess. I know it is really wierd to plan for a wedding when not only haven't I been asked, but I'm utterly depressed by the whole wedding process, but I figure its something I'll have to do at some point so might as well make the experience financially easier. And heck, if not it's a nice emergency buffer.
I'd like to add my apologies for being scary, I chatter madly and talk drivel when I'm a bit nervous, I think NIM and I probably came across as being on speed, sorry.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

dinah good idea I wish I had prepared me and my oh are paying for own wedding cos our families don't have the sort of finances available to pay for us. How rather sweet we have spent only 6k you can spend as much and as little as u want love is the key. Hope u have a good debt free day x aI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. I think we'd have scared you off too flower
So 33 and 3/4 hours done this week of which I'll get paid for 31 and 3/4 as they dont pay me for lunch and I dont get a break when I do the kiosk on a sunday as there is no one to cover it. Add to that 12 and 1/2 at the call centre and I'm looking at a nice chunk this week. Although for 46 and 1/4 hours its not really all that much.
I just worked out the amount of hours I work and :eek::eek::eek::eek:
I REALLY need a better job.
D Just pointed out if I had a better job she couldnt have gotten me all the mystery shops she did.
Now I Really really REALLY need a better jobThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
:T Yay for Betty's meet - more gossip please! I'm sure you two weren't scary.
I had a lovely time in Sheffield with my friend. I haven't seen her in ages so we talked until I thought our heads would drop off. She's training to be a clinical psychologist so sorted out all my issues over the weekend LOL!
We went wedding dress shopping - just to one place. Eeek! It was super exciting / scary. The woman was very nice and not evil like in some bridal shops, although she did make me strip off in front of her, which I hate.
I went in thinking I wanted something low-key, short no train or meringue, definitely no strapless. Well the one that looked nicest was a huge meringue, massive train, strapless! So may well have to reconsider . . .
We went to Sheffield city farm which was quite cool, and fed the pigs, goats and horses.
And to add to all this, I got £204 interest last tax year on my ISA. Nice to update the sig.
Hope you all had fab weekends! X x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
I think it is a great idea to save or a wedding, better than trying to get money ot of nowhere when it does happen!
Lara - i have heard people say before that they ended up with something the opposite to what they thought they wanted wedding dress wise. Whatever looks best is what matters!
I am started to get excited for my holiday now, only 6 days. Keep checking weather forecast and is looking lovely towards end of the week, hope it stays like that!0
