Argh, just realised my PAYE student loan repayments we're even covering the loan interest. It is almost DOUBLE what I thought it was. Where did I get that idea from?!
So now I have an extra £500ish quid on my loan, and interest is clocking up £50ish per month. Nightmare!! I also have got a tax bill to pay in June in addition to fees and holidays savings.
Eeek, maybe I need to make it the £10 per day challenge.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Evening everyone,
Just got back from work and very tired, even though it was only a 5 hour shift! Well it has been an eventful day, had the plain clothes police officers turn up, they found someone with lots of stolen things - including loads from our shop!! We hadnt even noticed - the police said none of the shops had noticed and he was very good at what he does!
So we have had to spend the afternoon filling out all the relevant paperwork, very boring.
Hope everyone has had a nice relaxing day?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
hey guys thanks for all the replies about the Ccard, I only really went for it because I want to build up a credit rating and also to get the £20 quidco as I have been feeling a little poor at the mo
Luckily though I went for the Halifax with £20 cashback and I have been accepted, just with a low limit (perfect lol)
I know I'm moaning about having no money but hopefully it should be ok, I've basicaly just been looking at the bigger picture and realised if I want a house or anything in the near future, and with the graduate job market being so poor, I'm going to have to have some savings for a deposit or for a fall back. I also want to now do a course which costs about £600 next year so I need to find the money for that too!! (£100 from my birthday has been earmarked for this though so its a start!)
I did also get £50 today when I checked my ING account because I reffered my mum and dad!! (woot woot!!) So I'm deffo feeling more positive about the £10 a day lol
I am cleaning my room today and doing some well needed washing before hopefully the revision can start soonish!!
Wheres our little Cinny today? I miss looking at her pictures of yumy cakes!!0 -
I am just back from meeting my friends for lunch, have spent a lot of money on food this weekend, makes me feel guilty! Did big shop yesterday though so should be ok for rest of week.
Tinkerbel - it is def worth trying for a card, the only credit rating i have is from a couple of store cards and i applied for m and s card recently as i wnat to build up my credit rating and i got it no probs.0 -

Hello all! Been a funny sort of weekend and I haven't had a chance to get on here and post! The meet on Saturday was nice, and NIM was only a little scary! (Kidding!
) Pictures! Left-Right- Dinah, Birdie, NIM, Tete. Dinah and Tete are very pretty girlies, and NIM's a cutie pie. You can't see in the picture but Tete is so tall and slim, just how I want to be!
I've been giggling at OH all afternoon, he took off his dressings to replace them (it was keyhole surgery so he's got 7 little scars all around, above and below his knee) and he ran out so he's got a bright pink Barbie plaster stuck on his thigh! And he can't get trousers on (don't worry, he's wearing shorts!) so it's on display for all to see!
Money wise I've just been attempting to sort out my various accounts and cards, got a new Halifax CC so I've just moved my HSBC CC balance over to it as it is at 0% for 9 months so I can crack on with getting that cleared! What isn't great is that I can see my mortgage balance on my online banking screen, I have a little heart attack every time I see the balance in bright red! LOL!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ohh that is so weird seeing how you all look! Glad to see you weren't too scared by NIM haha. You are all lovely looking!0

I'm here!! It's werid me having to read more than 2 posts to catch up, I'm used to being the one gabbling on mindlessly! Good job on getting the credit card with cash back though Tink, sounds like you've all been having busy money making weekends!
Sounds like you're getting on well with the paintings Dinah! The one you're working on sounds lovely, I'd love to see it when you've finished. I'll bribe you with cuppy cakes, I have no shame!
Awful traffic today! Took me and OH 2 hours to drive from the cinema to Meadowhall, grab some lunch and head back to the cinema (normally only take 40 minutes tops) then we couldn't find a place to park at the cinema so decided to come home and watch deal or no deal *woo* Was pretty MSE though, snook our own B&M sweeties into the cinema, bought my sisters OH birthday present on my HMV gift card, and got a cheeky £5 off my sisters birthday present too! Thank you Martin:money:
Well done on selling your ebay things Flower!
I'd hate that commute Poolie!! Must be pretty bad in the summer too having to go past Legoland?
Have a nice night girls (and boys!) off to nag OH for half an hour before 90210.
ETA: Takes me so bloody long to post! I can't see the piccys though (still waiting on my camel one by the way *ahem*dinah*ahem*) Sounds like you had a great time though!0 -
Yey we didn't scare away Birdie! Like how NIM was 'only a little scary' but there is no mention of just how terrifying I was!
Those pictures aren't working on either of my computers - boo. What is it suposed to be working on? Maybe I need some kind of add-on. Might have to ask you to email me the piccie as mine is a bit blurry.
Glad you've got a balance transfer Birdie, that should help a lot (still think you need a sig though!).
If it works out well Cinny I will show it, but the big if is how I do that, I need to give a web address of a pic apparently but I have no clue how to do that - all my pics are just on my computer! Will have to make it my avatar instead!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
