Glad kitty is better :) my two are lolling about the place, I think they're trying to get cool, poor things. It has been quiet on here this week, we've been a bit short staffed what with holidays so I've been busy answering the phone to the sort of people who say "Oh, Helen's on holiday? Well maybe YOU can help me..." whilst I shake my head frantically but end up running around trying to help anyway because I'm too nice!

Lara that holiday sounds lovely and very wholesome! I'm about to spend a long weekend with my friends and their 8 month old, will see if that makes me broody, but to be honest the selfishnesh wins over any broodiness for the minute - I just don't want to have another little person to look after and pay for things for - I have shoe wish list for goodness sake!

Glad the cat is feeling better!

I have got more broody but then more sensible at the same time. Have heard more and more stories to put me off for now. The birth stories are bad enough, let alone what comes after.

LOL I feel the same Tete - it's so nice to see the nephews and niece but also very nice to hand them back! And staying over with them makes you realise how knackering it is to be a parent.

    :rotfl:

I saw a girl I was at school with on Saturday, she's 3 months younger than me and was sporting a baby. On opposite sides of the aisle, I was looking at overpriced bubble bath and she was looking at heinz baby pots. I couldn't say I felt all too broody or jealous! I just had flash backs from when she used to come to mine after school, always fussing over my baby born she was....

Some girls just want to be mummies from whenever they get their first doll, and it doesn't come and go, its just an overriding desire. And some of them go on to be great mummys. Some of them however realise having a baby doesn't actually fill all the psychological holes they thought it would.

My best friend at school had a baby at 18, however by the time he was 2 she'd gotten board of him and he was sent to live with grannie. I feel so sorry for the little lad, shipped off like last seasons handbag. She meanwhile continues to look for new ways to be different (latest one, moving in with a lesbian partner 6 years younger than her ie only 18). I find it really hard to respect her now.

    Morning everyone,

I was always obsessed with my dolls, had loads of them and have always wanted a baby. However I have got a sensible head on me and I want to be married and financially stable before I have one.

Got my loan to my Dad below 2000 today yay!

Quite a long way below, congrats Wendz. I love hitting the little benchmarks.

Woke up this morning with a cracking migrane, hot and cold sweats, being sick, no spatial perception, light hurts, the lot. I think NIM called my work for me, if he didn't I guess they'll be wondering where I am. Feeling utterly out of it because the migrane tablets are very strong, but have now stopped being sick and the pain is just a thud. Don't think the computer is helping though so might not be on much today.
