I'm really not sure whether to stick our coin on Ebay now or wait until it all dies down, will we get more picking up on the buzz, or will we be better to wait until fewer are being sold but risk missing out as all the collectors already have one?!

Yep aiming for 40k deposit, which would be around 20% in the hope this will give us a lower rate than if we have to go with 6.99% on a 10% deposit.

I'd put it on now, there are 5 pages of the coins but people still seem to be getting £200-300 for them. At the end of the day it's just 20p you happened to get in your change, even £10 for it would be pretty nice!

Haven't been on for a few days as OH bet me I couldn't stay off, it's so annoying when they're right. Seriously relaxing my savings though, decided I should enjoy my money now before I have proper bills and what not too pay. And after my episode on Friday I've been majorly treating myself, savings left untouched mind! :D

Hope everyone's okay! Got a scary letter Saturday morning, I have to go for 3 injections over 6 months starting next Tuesday, Boo! Still, if it lowers my chances of dying when I'm older I'm all for it.

Hope you're okay and the injections aren't too serious Cinny.

I think you just need to find a happy medium, when I was about 19 I decided life was for living and started spending, and as a result I found getting my own house REALLY hard because the money suddenly had to go on bills and I got into debt as a result. If you get stressed out over savings I think you need to do anything you can to make it a painless transition when you move out of your parents, and have to furnish a place and pay bills and mortgage etc. I'm not saying don't ease up a bit, just don't forget why you were doing it in the first place.

Have you never considered going full time? I think you'd find it a lot less stressfull as you'd have a proper wage and you'd have more for spending and for saving without it causing you any stress.

It's the HPV vaccine so nothing major, I'm just glad I'm not so scared of needles as some people are. Are the NHS planning on doing a new 'year' of girls every summer? I remember last year I just fell outside the age bracket.

I think I was putting way too much stress on myself, I really don't see myself moving out for another 3-4years, £30-40 a week (plus any birthday/christmas/extra money) is still going to add up in that time. I'm not going to go completely bonkers with my money, but it's going to be pretty darn lovely to buy something guilt free.

Ooh, about the 20p coin. Have you thought about contacting a local collector or something? You might get more than you would on ebay.

I think a lot of collectors use Ebay now, and more to the point a lot of wannabe collectors who think it will be worth gazillions in years to come!

NIMs first wages came through from his job, a little bit under what we were expecting, but nothing major. As a result from today (well when it arrives in the new account) we have £350 a month spends (excluding gym and online game subscription which come out of the bills account). Seems like a huge amount of money given mobile phones, new computers, pet costs, gym etc doesn't have to come out of this, but I'm sure we'll find a way to spend it!

Going to suggest we go for a walk at the weekend and to the lovely cafe and the pick your own, although NIM said he had multi-day plans set up for this weekend but then hasn't mentioned them again since, so I don't know whether to be excited or not! My plans would come in at significantly under £20 so would be a nice cheap afternoon out, although a large part of me is screaming 'you're allowed to spend the spending money - go to chiquitos too!'

I'm much better at spending on days out than on 'stuff' which will just clutter up my cupboard and end up on ebay in two years time! I think I need to find out from NIM if he does indeed have plans for the weekend, and if not then I think a nice day out on Saturday might be in order.

Are you still planning to try the £10 a day challenge Cinny? Might be a good way to keep your savings running but have a more spendy lifestyle. Any cake sales would count towards it and I find it quite fun tbh! First fail this month though, bit dissapointed!

I'm worried our Cinny is going to stop posting now - don't leave us, we'll love you even if you do become spendy!
