Very excited, have one of the 20p coins with no date. Ebay has them selling for a bundle, but surely no one is about to actually pay that?!?!?!

Ohh well done, they said on the radio earlier that they would be worth about 200 in ten years so depends whether you would want to save it and risk it.

Loads of them selling for £200-£300 on ebay today. Think we might keep it a few months then sell it near Christmas or something

Well done Dinah! I can't believe that £5k bid on ebay will pay up though, but if you can get a couple of hundred that'd be ace. What percent of the deposit is that?

 I'm SURE I had one and didn't realise. Grr. OH says he's going to raid the work tea fund in the morning :D I'm off to make Dad turn his pockets out!!

£200 would be 0.5% of a deposit. Not bad!

Awesome!! Dinah is your house deposit going to be £40,000?! (if not, please mind my maths! its early!) Thats loads but thats also the sort of amout I hope to have one day before buying a housey! I think it is better to save more and then get a smaller mortgage, but I dunno lol, I'm just even more in awe of you two than I waas!! I hope you meet £4,500 soon!
Wendz - i dont think it is denialble, your job is wicked!! Hello - you went to a BNTM party!!!! Jealous!

Cinny - wanna pick your brains about The National Trust!! Like I mentioned before, OH and I joined up kinda by accident for my birthday and now we want to go but what would you reccomend in the sort of midlands ish/nottinghamish/ we can drive anywhere if its worth it area?!!? I think Sudbury Hall looks good, but I dont know alot about this kinda thing!
I won £5 on the scratchie I run for mum yesterday, and then randomly today her and my brother got extra added to their accounts! (like mum £2 each!) but OH and I got nothing :( I always split the £10s I get for other people with them though so in return, she will post my ebay things lol. this will be the last of my ebay items that I've sold (neeeed to find some more to list lol!) So then I think I can work out profit.

Also realised that for my £500 by July 7th, I will get 2 lots of bank interest (one about £15 and one about £6) which I will count towards my challenge, but we have also decided now to go to the graduation ball, I think we would only need to spend on tickets (£80 - OUCH!!) and a few drinks/fill a hipflask/not drink but I need to get creative about the money for that methinks!

I don't really know why I just do these big mega posts by the way - I am sorry lol! :o

    Have a good day everyone!!

Morning Tinkerbel, you were up early! As for NT - I went to Calke Abbey a couple of years ago and it was really fascinating. It's a big old country house and the family who owned it had financial trouble and it went into disrepair, by the 80s they were in such trouble that they had to donate the house to the NT who thought that it was interesting in the state it was in and left it that way. I loved it! Also been to Hardwick Hall which was interesting.

I've got my ebay parcels to post today so that'll be great fun. I think there should be a fast-track queue in the POST Office for people who only want to POST LETTERS. Also need to look for car insurance, got my renewal through and it's £40 more than I paid last year, yet I've been driving a year longer, my car's a year older and I have an extra year's no claims, grr!

And I logged onto facebook this morning and at least three friends have posted links to the rare 20p news stories/ebay auctions so I guess getting hold of one randomly isn't going to happen now. I miss working in a shop at times like this!
